I know this is a weird thread but I read about half elven people but can gnomes be half as well? My friend and I was writing this story a love between a gnome and human but then we started to think. Two different races that don't have the same well "DNA?" I'm not sure how to explain this. Is it possible for them to have a child?
RP of a human/gnome love, is it possible?

I'm gonna refer you to a certain character who is half human, one quarter orc, and one quarter draenei. Also that centaurs are the product of Cenarius's son and the Stonemother's daughter. And there's Garona, Rexxar, Lelior (part night elf part troll), and a whole slew of others that you'd think shouldn't be able to mate. I don't think it's too outlandish to say a human and gnome could too.
Well, there is a male gnome and female human in Sholazar Basin with the same last name (Wobblesprocket).
They make me wonder.
This is correct, if you check their quest text he either alludes or directly refers to her as his wife.

*Refrains from making obvious World Enlarger jokes....*

"One Gnomish-made World Enlarger Pump..."
"That's not mine!"
"One Gnomish World Enlarger Pump, soulbound to Palehoof..."
"That's not my bag, baby!"
"...contained in one 22-slot Dragon Hide Bag, also soulbound to Palehoof..."
"Well okay, just to save time, I'll take it, but I'll have to clear this up later."
On a sidenote Pale: I love your RP set. I assume that's what you're wearing atm. :D

It says it directly. (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12651) So, yeah, human/gnome relationships are already canon.
Besides, where do you think Dwarves came from?

I would say something right now, but it probably belongs in Goldshire... on Moongaurd.

I'll take a stab.
If the Gnome is female...
"My, you're a tall one!"

*Brops* You guess it, but my messed up male mind has much more. /shudder
Thanks everyone for the anwsers. And yes I'm from moonguard but both us are just friends here that play on the same realm, she wanted to write a story to maybe get us two playing again cause we are bored of the game. We tried to RP wars (didn't work) tried to RP other things and it didn't work so we made up a story about ourselfs tho its kind of weird being a human paladin and shes a gnome warrior. I feel this just *wouldn't* work cause paladins are hard enough to fall in love with someone thats not devoted to the light as much as we are.

Half dwarves and half gnomes are things that are incredibly rare. Mainly because if it is a half breed it is most commonly a human/night elf hybrid. Yes, Night. High is the only real possible one, but I've met a half Night elf. I've met a mage who was a half elf (a human mother and high elf father) who you could RP with him for a month and always think of him as a human unless you ask him what he is.
The thing about that is, good half breeds don't let their subspecies play a pivotal factor in their RP, only if asked what they are. I think it is more neat to find out by asking them then them constantly emoting them about their half-breedyness. By that I mean after every /say they emote something about their elven ears, elven grace, or lithe, beautiful bodies or something like that.

Zeria's actually a legitimate Darkspear/Revantusk halfbreed, but that only plays into his introductions to some people. He doesn't make a big deal out of it, and I don't write him as special besides slightly higher physical strength than an average Darkspear. Him being a halfbreed did lead to being inflicted by an anger-triggered curse mark covering his face, but that's more of a cosmetic quirk than a focal point of his story at the moment.
