The one achievement I have remaining in order to get the What A Long Strange Trip It's Been meta-achievement is the one for children's week, School of Hard Knocks, where you're supposed to cart around your orphan to various battlegrounds and do the following:

Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm
Assault a flag in Arathi Basin
Assault a tower in Alterac Valley
Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch

Besides not being...ahem...good at PVP, most people who're in there competing aren't looking to give you a chance to get your one requirement done.

So, I'd like to propose, if there is enough interest, an event wherein folks from both sides could get together and do some War Games, during which the sole purpose would be to help as many people as possible get that particular achievement. Whether you've already got it or not, you're more than welcome to help other folks get it.

Would anyone be interested in this, or am I just dreaming of an achievement that I'll likely never get?

Eeps. I remember you asking me about this, just before RL went and blew up in my face for a couple of weeks.

I am interested, as it's one of those annoying frustrating ones that really requires people working together. Though I'd want it on my Ally side!

I would be more than happy to lend a hand. I'll keep checking back to try and keep in the loop. I know I have more than a few alts alliance side (+1 horde alt) that could use this.

Feel free to poke me ingame if you happen to see me online. Sometimes I'm busy, but other times I'm just farmin my Halfhill plot :)

Q: Can I receive achievements or guild experience in a War Game?
A: Because you can pick who you play against, nothing is awarded for playing in these skirmishes -- except for the rush that comes with a hard-won victory, of course.

So you cannot get this achievement or ANY achievements in a War Game. I've done some research and it's been confirmed that you cannot do it in a war game.

But we might at least be able to get people together to queue up together to try to do it together in regular PvP?

I'd be interested. I have toons of all levels on both sides, and my husband will damn well help too, if he doesn't want to listen to me whinge all Children's Week about this achieve! LOL!
