I'm a member of Legion, the #20 guild on the server. We have a solid core of raiders who currently raid Monday through Wednesday at 8 server time (11 EST). While we have made decent progress in the last few weeks, we're running into the struggles and issues that many guilds probably face on a smaller server like CC/SoE. We have difficulty on some nights filling in key spots in our raid. This has resulted in pugging just to have enough to run a raid or calling the raid in extreme cases. Our biggest shortfall is usually healers, though we only have 3 active tanks, so each of those spots is a liability at the moment. Our strongest component right now is our DPS, who put out more than enough to down H Butcher. With the skilled players we have in every role, we should be farther along in progress.
Despite our troubles with attendance, we do have solid raid nights once we get kicked off. However, we are looking at possible solutions to this problem. We've been putting out recruitment notices whenever we can, but it seems as though most players already have a raid group set in place. Our other possible solution was to look at possible raid group mergers or flat-out guild mergers. A quick glance at WoW Progress shows that there are a number of guilds around our area in progression, and I'm wondering what kind of issues those other guilds deal with. If a shortfall of members or a lack of attendance is an issue, like Legion, we'd love to speak to you about a possible raid group merger.
I will also be contacting some guilds in our range in-game, but I would encourage you to send me a tell or reply to this post if you are at all interested in working out a mutually beneficial partnership or merger between guilds, or if you would like to learn more about our guild.
