So, hey, that glorious change of season is right around the corner and I was wondering if anyone had anything planned for March 20th? If not, you should come to the Spring Fling! Druids of Azeroth have always celebrated this time of rebirth and renewal, and now we're sharing it with everyone!

Bring your favorite dish to dinner! Fine cuisine from all over the world should always be appreciated in large numbers. Crack open that keg you've been hiding and make merry with all of your favorite people! We'll set out the blankets, you bring the basket!

Participants should sign up via replying to this post and/or sending an in-game letter to Bremm(alt 139)n! First and Second place winners of each game will win a pet of their choice. So, of course, we also need people who are willing to be impartial judges for these games!

Did you catch 'em all? Great! Bring your favorite pet to the Trainer's Best Pet Battle Extravaganza! Only one pet per entree, pet must be level 25 please, for consistency. Winner and second place of each grouping will win a pet of a DIFFERENT pet family. Entree fee of 5g, proceeds to benefit future events.

6:15 - Trainer's Best: Beast and Bird Classes
6:30 - Trainer's Best: Fish and Frog Classes
6:45- Trainer's Best: Invertebrate Class (Bugs, Snails and Slimes)
7:00- Trainer's Best: Dragons, Minions and Magic, oh my!
7:15 - The Gnomeregan Gnitters Club PRESENTS Springing into Spring: A Pageant for All Races!
7:45 - Best Dressed Awards - Single Female, Single Male and Best Couple
8:15 - Closing Ceremony
8:30 - everyone gets to go home!

Where? The Steam Pools Resort on the Southern edge of Feralas! (Thank you Broodin!)
What should I bring? Food, drinks, your battle pets, something fancy to wear and probably a swimsuit!
Which reminds me, I'm going to need a counterpart to help translate and pass out prizes to the Horde winners. I ask that you please be a Druid,or Nature-Worshiping Whatever at least, and have characters on both factions, so I can trade you the pets that will be given out. Thanks so much!

You guys are so silly.
I was thinking something more along the lines of a big feast/dinner, with some tournament-like activities. Best in Show for Pets, Best in Show for Mounts. Best Dressed Dude/Dudette/Couple. Karaoke, maybe. Storytelling. Of course, I'll have to make sure the Dwarves come through with my order of Mead and Beer Basted Ribs...
I'm still Pro and Con 'ing everything as it comes to mind.
And I haven't decided on a location, but I have a few places in mind.

This sounds like fun :) unfortunately i wont be able to make it due to travel.. You should do something like this for each season? Just a thought. :3

I used to have a radio show for another server - - - - play music and interview peeps and whatnot. If you wanted to do Karaoke, maybe we could hook something up? FYI: I have NO COUNTRY.

I still think this realm needs its own ventrilo server...

Lorrik, I would LOVE to throw a party for each season! Spring, Midsummer, Autumn and Yule!! I really enjoy coming up with ideas to boost all manner of RP. Hopefully this will pan out! I'm still outlining!

Update: If we could please get people to sign up for the pet battles and fashion contests, plus one or two judges, that would be great!

The pet battle aspect interests me.

If this ends up being cross faction then Mormel would be interested in the fashion contest. If not then I could see Gerhilda being a judge (a bad one but a judge nonthless).

Regardless of faction I do have plenty of level 25 pets to bring. However I am a bit confused by the pet portion. First... are we offering our pets up as ante? Second, are we doing 1v1 pet battles or is it merely judging which pet per category people like the best?

EDIT: Corrected pet "potion" because that's just absurd.

No, pets will not be up for ante. I have pets to give as prizes to the winners.
Yes, it will be 1v1 in brackets, depending on how many people turn out, per grouping. That's 4 winners for sure.
Yes, this is cross faction. I'd love to see the Alliance and Horde interacting more! However, you can only enter one event for prizes. If you want to Pet Battle and be part of the fashion contest, you'll have to opt out of a prize for one or the other.
And no worries about the prizes. They'll be mailed AFTER the events, that way I can send the Horde members their prizes as well, without any fights breaking out.

Also, GET THE WORD OUT! The more people know, the more will turn up, the more fun this will be!
Just leave the griefers at home.
