Hello everyone. I have been thinking of switching from my overly-populated normal realm to a medium to low populated RP realm. I have made RP toons in the past, and I have done 2 roleplay guild events in a guild on Moon Guard. I am still fairly new to RP. I have been doing research on which server would be best for me, and my search has led me to Cenarion Circle. In some forum posts that I've read, people describe your server as very friendly to new players. As I said, I was thinking of moving this character, Sedrikk, to your server. However, I have never heard of server-wide RP events before. Also, are you guys actually nice to new RP'ers like me? I want to make sure this is the right server before spending $25. Thank you!
How do Guild Events Work on Cenarion Circle?
We're very welcoming to new RPers - if anything, we come on a little too strong. But we're a friendly bunch, more than willing to help people find a good RP guild (don't expect a whole lot of race or class-specific guilds) that suits the character you're playing.
As for events, there are a number of public weekly RP events hosted by different guilds. For example, Da Doctas holds a weekly clinic in Orgrimmar where RPers are encouraged to show up for medical attention, or just all-around RP. The Alliance hold a similar clinic as well, and the Horde has a Lounge Night on saturdays that is intended purely as a calm, peaceful hang-out event for characters to get together, have a few drinks and relax.
There's more than that, but just to give you an early idea. Just beware, some guild leaders are more... zealous than others in seeking new recruits. If someone asks you what this cloth smells like, run >_>

Things are generally event based, but there is a lot of walk up roleplay as well. Alliance side the Blue Recluse in Stormwind is a hang out and for the Horde it's the Wyvern's Tail in Orgrimmar.

Thank you all so much for the info! I decided to make an alliance toon on Cenarion Circle last night to test it out, and I attended Troubador night! It was so fun. I think I will be moving, your server seems like a great one. Thanks again!

Last I knew all that was left of that desk was a few slivers of wood we took for proof before it sort of...blew up
