Warning Ex-Doomtidings members lf Guild

If you find about 10 players, previously from Doomtidings guild, looking to get in your guild,I would be warned, they are looking for another guild by way of their own immaturity. I am letting everyone know this because, they left over an issue they caused and were not mature enough to talk it out with the officers of the guild.

This is just to let guild leaders know, I hate to have other guilds have to go through their little "elite click" attitude.

thanks...and have fun

I'm taking this with a grain of salt, unfortunately, because in the past I was a member of Doomtidings and I left the guild along with my entire raid team because of the Guild Leader's utter asshattery.

And said Guild Leader proceeded to deface me and the rest of my team and spin a false tale of woe to the guild and to the world about how we left for "selfish reasons".

Many "friends" in the guild refused to talk to me, kept me on ignore, in fact, for several months until they too got a healthy dose of the same asshattery that drove us to leave. And after they left, they apologized to me and mine for believing the Guild Leader's story in the first place.

Granted, I don't think that Guild Leader is in charge anymore, but unfortunately, I'm still wary of anything "Doomtidings".

It would be "elite clique". Not "elite click".

Ok, I'm not usually one to get involved in drama, but I have to say that everything I've heard from my people about the current Doomtidings group is pretty positive. I had a rather unpleasant experience with the former GM as well, (and I knew the guy in real life) but I'm fairly certain he doesn't play anymore, which is why Nerathil took over. If I recall correctly, Nerathil also took over sort of recently too.

Without slinging names into the mix, could you two (Finnicks and Paranitis) provide a rough estimate as to the date of your unsavory experience with Doomtidings? I don't want to see the names of innocent folks dragged through the mud, if possible.

Oh sorry, I don't have experience with Doomtidings. I was just going along with what Finnicks was saying, since he says he had a similar situation happen to him.

Oh it was a while ago... my group was wanting to start ICC at the time. So probably Jan/Feb of last year.

And the other group I mentioned was in the summer of last year.

All I am saying is that a bad reputation sticks for a long time, and Doomtidings is going to have to work very hard to get themselves out of the gaping, 90-foot hole that their founder dug for them.

This post is not indicative of the philosophy of Doomtidings. People come and go...as with any guild. We stick up for each other while we are fellow guildies. And we wish those well that choose to go their own way. As our former guild leader liked to say 'people come and go, Doom remains'. That is true even after his departure late last year.

Doomtidings is not the same guild as it was last year. There are a lot of members that still remain, but the leadership is completely different now. I'm no longer an officer but I expect great things from those that are in charge now.

I left Doomtidings due to a serious cut back in my play time. With that being said I was one of if not the oldest members in DT up until my departure and was the AGM when Finnicks left so all I can say and am willing to say is that what Finnicks is saying needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Nerathil is the new GM of Doomtidings and under his leadership they will soon regain a place of honor again. If or when I can start to play again on a consistant basis I have every intention of returning to Doomtidings.

I'm surprised to see that the last post is this recent. Currently, Nerathil is not the GM of Doomtidings. Tippingbull is. The environment in Doomtidings is very friendly and pleasant. Many of the members are some of the nicest, funniest players you'll ever meet on this server, Horde side.

Well as GL for Raiders of Madness, I have seen that there are some players that will use their time..and unfortunately others (and what could possibly be used better to think of proactive ways to positively move their guilds forward..lol) to relate past guild experiences.
While any guild communication can and should be constructive and productive, sadly I have seen instances where other guildies find pathetic satisfaction from pointing the virtual finger and justifying their elitist condemnation with others of their kind.

There will always be guild conflict as well as issues of just real life throwing a chaotic monkey wrench into even the strongest of guilds, but it is always great to see when other fair, constructive and caring players speak up and either stand up for their guilds, guildies and in some cases even other innocent players who unfortunately are effected and targeted for any virtual negative scorn by others within this server. I myself don't normally come into this forum, not because I don't care about the players within our CC server who use this forum, but mostly because I currently use Facebook for my main communication with my guildies. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_152191934802540&ap=1

While we are by far not a perfect guild as I'm sure players within our server will take up the time to relate to one another, I am here to say currently that, Raiders of Madness and I welcome any player/s that are eager to laugh and have fun to contact us, regardless of which guild you're in or what faction! For most of us who still play..it's really is still quite a wonderful game to virtually escape to and have fun with like minded friends {{high five}}.

Also I would like to state, that while I do not condone poor guild activity/interaction from any guild member, I understand that one guildie "bad apple", or in this case..lol..ten, does not and should not be seen as a reason to virtually condemn a whole guild within our server..lol. :/
