It had been the perfect set up. The perfect disappearance. No one had ever come looking for her, cause she was dead. It was a well needed vacation. It had gotten to the point where every day was a hard act to put on. A day she continued wondering why she bothered. Why it mattered, why anything mattered. Fanvast had disappeared, the child, well, Aziel had placed his mark upon her, and taken her away. And Stefan.... Stefan Pyrak. A man of many talents. The only man to really, really, break her heart in two. Sure, their had been Surl'jin, Majera, even Fanvast, but no one had utterly destroyed it like Stefan had. And simply for that, she needed away. Away from everything. The plan was simple, easy, and worked better then she had ever imagined....
A few hundred gold a month payed the forsaken to act like her. It was almost normal for forsaken to lose their memories, and so no one had even questioned. Of course, Maya had filled in Liza with partial memories. She had filled in with a few names, but nothing too outrageous. She had given the forsaken everything she had needed to succeed....even her demons. They had not been happy...especially Ziltuk and Bheemyn. Kalona hadn't mattered one way or the other, in fact, the succubus seemed to enjoy staying at Lizza's side. But now it was all done. Her demons returned to her side, Lizza had once again drifted off into the distance, left back to her own life.
No one had looked for her, and it was because of that Maya was able to keep 3 camps set up in different locations in Feralas. It was her home, for the past year and few months. Out of all places, she thought Feralas would be the worst to be in, but the truth was, it was helpful, soothing. It was here Armaya's heart healed. Almost completely. There had been bad times, bad nights, where she would simply cry herself to sleep. She had been in a state of mind, a state of feeling where she had wanted no one to ever see her. Once upon a time, she might've let Stefan see her, but no longer was that time. No longer would she let any one see how fragile she had become, how simple it would've been to destroy her in those months. But day by day, she started to recover. The cries grew frequent, the nightmares far apart. She began to notice it really didn't hurt so bad as it had before. And so she moved on. She took day trips out into the wilderness. She took night and weekend trips to the lake, to the beaches of Tanaris, to this Uldum place. The alone time, it felt good, it was what she had needed. Her thoughts had been brought to the last few years, and she meditated on what happened, what changed, how she changed... Time flew.
Now it was time to return. To once again take her spot among the best of the Horde. She had been wandering the streets of Orgrimmar, listening in on the Hearthstones, reading the pamphlets, watching the Horde and the Alliance. She took everything with a grain of salt. She had noticed how her precious University had dwindled down, how Lariana had managed to break it apart. She hated it. She no longer wished to run it herself, though careful tracking led her to Elysara. And so she was hired, and put in place. There were other things happening. And she could not wait to stick her little nose into them all. To carefully disect the ongoings. To decide who's side to join, if anyone's. This year was going to be fun. And she no longer needed to act with the intentions that she had before . Out of all the things she remembered the most, she remembered how she was before him. And she was glad, that Armaya Shade, was back. Now it was simply time to stir up trouble. And she was so good at doing that.
