As an officer in Raiders of Madness, I'd like to offer an olive branch to the other horde guilds of Cenarion Circle. I came here five months ago to escape the heavy raiding schedule and hustle and bustle of the heavy population servers. I love this server and many of the people on it; however, I've seen a lot of flak directed at Raiders of Madness. We had an incident on the Cenarion Circle Facebook page Thursday that resulted in an incredible amount of personal insults and childish behavior on all parts involved.
As a member of RoM, I sincerely apologize for the actions of our members in the past, and we are working on ways to crackdown on the behavior of our members while seeking to prevent provokations with other guilds via our members. We have a very large guild, but I will not use that as an excuse for many of our members behavior in the past and present. While we do have a very casual and laid back approach to recruiting, and won't change how we support our members as a part of a larger family, we are going to improve the way we handle invitations and the screening process involved.
I realize many people on this server have had not so fortunate run-ins or groupings with members of our guild and come out befuddled at how we run things or how "bad" the guild is. I can personally vouch for 90% of the people in this guild, and we are working to restore our reputation with the horde side here as a source for pugs, raid fill-ins, or just working with the guild in general. We are in the process of eliminating many of the bad apples that have plagued our guild and your groups and are working towards a better environment for the guild. We have many good players in this guild, and I don't want them being at a disadvantage for participating in a guild with friends or family here. It's time for us to shed the stigma of a poorly run guild. We will be making many changes over the coming weeks.
I implore that if you have a bad run-in with a guild member of RoM, please contact me or anyone of our officers before blasting them or the guild in a global chat. I'm hoping with today's incident past us, that we can turn over a new leaf and project a positive image of our guild. I realize some people just enjoy being bitter towards others, but I am not one of them. I prefer if people play this game because they are happy doing so. While I don't know the circumstances behind much of the drama on this server, I don't really care for it nor to hear about it. We need to bury the hatchet and enjoy the damn game and conquer the Alliance and upcoming raids!
Many thanks,
Aurlan
(Sorry for the longness, but felt it was necessary to improve the situation of a lot of people on the horde side. Thank you for reading it all the way through if you did so. I appreciate any comments or feedback, and hope you guys can join the Cenarion Circle group on Facebook!)
