East Coast Raiding (10 Person)

Some people came to our server because of friends. Others were told by their shop LPO. Either way you rolled on Cenarion Circle and you live on the east coast, perhaps Mountain Time? But you definitely aren't on the server time. And you've put in your share of 1am raids with work in five hours. Maybe that works for you? But perhaps, just perhaps, you'd like to start your raid at 8pm EST. If so, and if you don't mind being part of a new group, then perhaps this is the invite for you.

My name is Jern and if you've gotten this far I'm happy to meet you. I, with a few people whom I trust and enjoy playing with are forming a 10 person raid. With the advent of Firelands and the upcoming Nerf of pre 4.2 cata content we decided to try and take advantage of the situation. Right now we have 2 tanks, a healer, and a melee dps ready to launch into raids. What we need is perhaps you! Our goal is to hit all the pre 4.2 raids, get everyone prepared, and then hit Firelands. All before midnight! Just not on one day.

So, if you want to go to bed before midnight, are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 2-3 hours a night starting at 5pm server then please send me an in-game mail. For the nuts and bolts, please be aware that just because you respond, it's not an automatic invitation. This is not going to turn into a 'gear an alt' run. This is for people who for whatever reason want to raid but can't into the wee hours of the morning. We want, and will keep, mature, respectful players with a desire to progress. That said, I am going to be looking for a minimum gear level of 346 -appropriate- to your spec. So with the evil overlord bit over. Welcome to the team! [Edit: I'll put this here so folks don't have to wander down. But we aren't asking anyone to leave their guild. This is a raid group.]

[Further Edit]
Responses have been awesome and I want to thank everyone who has responded so far. This is shaping up nicely and We're forming a good lineup. So far we have
Prot Warrior
Prot Paladin
Holy Priest
Resto Druid
Boomkin (Backup tank)
DK (Melee/Smarmy Guy)
Mage

I'm aware we still need a potential 3rd healer. So I would very much like to see a Shaman come find me. Rogues, Hunters, and Warlocks would be appreciated as well.

I might be interested. Maybe. I'm not comfortable leaving my guild though. Would I be able to stay in it?

I've done some raiding on this character. But I quit largely into the cataclysm raid content because TBH the first tier was horrible. I'm a vanilla veteran raider though, so I know what I'm doing.

Excellent Question! No, I'm not asking you to leave your guild or friends. This is a raid group, not a guild. We have members from several guilds, both RP and Raiding.

Certainly a tempting prospect...I just hit the mark myself, and my druid's a point short. Figure I need to get this guy goin' again, heh.

Have had a great response and people's gear has been less of an issue then I'd worried, especially with the drop of 4.2. But I have had to turn people away and I'd like to just add this. As a raid, the 10 folks who wind up grouping up and throwing themselves at content together are making a commitment of time. I know this makes some clench and hiss 'ooo raider mentality.' But please let me explain. 10 people raiding 6 hours a week is 60 hours of total time being spent, together. If only one person cannot meet this commitment then the other 54 hours of time which has been scheduled, and worked around, and in some cases painstakingly organized becomes endangered. I do not want anyone to try and make this commitment if they cannot meet it for whatever reason. It's going to be 2 hours a night for three days in the middle of the week I am asking for. More if you're willing, but that is the commitment.
