Why should you join? I'll give you a couple of very simple reasons before I go to bed for the night.
1. There are a set of expectations, both spoken and unspoken in guilds. You won't find them bearing down on you here.
2. Our guild policies are simple, easy to understand. You don't need a contract to read to understand how things are run.
3. Raiding: Deathwing or bust.
4. Ranks - Each rank will serve a specific purpose. There is no filler, no fat, and no over-glorified rank here.
5. Helpfulness - You help someone, they pass it forward. Very simple, very applicable. It doesn't mean you have to tithe 90% of your gold to someone or someone's cause, but helping someone is very celebrated.
6. As a guild leader, I will associate with everyone. I'm working hard to make <A. W.> something decent and respectable. I will not be known for being secular, unfair, or deceitful. My own policies and views on things are going to be nitpicked repeatedly. That is fine. I have been described as "rough around the edges". I describe myself as eccentric. I will NOT compromise my (or the guild's) morals or ideals for you, the next person who reads this ad, any guild member, GM, or developer.
You have my promise.
7. Autonomy is a necessity, but that doesn't mean you won't have people who won't care in <A. W.>. This is an extension on #6, but the reality of it is is that simply saying "grats" is hollow. You work hard for something? You'll get recognition for it.
