Passion Punch, New Drink at the Blue Recluse

Joachim followed the rest of the staff as they exited The Blue Recluse, planning to enjoy a full night off for once. As the others began to walk away Joachim peered around looking for someone, the owner had said he would be stopping by to do some renovations today, but had never shown up.

A few minutes later the lanterns illuminating the patio of the Recluse began to flicker lightly, then more violently as they finally blew out; despite the cool night's air being still. If anyone was even awake at this hour, they might just brush off the low thump that followed, hitting the walkway. A dark figure followed dropping from the air with two large glowing green orbs where eyes should be. The figure began to fiddle with the locks before the door creaked open and something was dragged inside the building before the door was shut and locked once more.

As the figure began to drag whatever the object was towards the cellar a low steaming hiss escaped from the figure itself, "There, now if anyone wus in 'ere, tha' gas should 'opefully knock 'em ou' till openin'." As he reached the final barrel in the cellar that he had prepared the night before, he stopped dragging the object and placed his right hand out to his side and created a small flame to illuminate his work. It was Zaium Duskmyre, the owner,"Time to finish settin' this up I guess," his mechanical left arm began to click, clank, and whir as the fingers withdrew and what appeared to be a motorized saw slid out to take their place. He dragged his right hand across the air creating a small circle of flame above him that would stay in the air; then with a quick end to the motion cracked the flat of the barrel as his claws dug into the wood. He quickly cut out the flat of the barrel and pulled it out exposing the glowing runes within the barrel lining it's sides and the runic circle on the backside; he pulled over te object he was dragging, the light exposing it as a smaller barrel sitting atop and tied to a metal circle with a runic circle design on one face.

Zaium opened the smaller barrel and splashed it against the backside's runic circle; then quickly lifting the new metal cover placed it in the barrel and with a few clicks and hisses it adjusted itself to fit tightly, shutting the barrel. Inside of the barrel, the liquid caused the runes to flicker brighter and faster, the the liquid began to float towards the center and swirl violently; eventually stabilizing into a new drink portal that Zaium uses for all the drinks in the Recluse.

He had already headed back upstairs and was setting up a new portal dispenser for the new drink, craving the necessary runes under the counter and filling them with magic. Zaium then pulled out a note which he set under the counter informing Joachim to try and push the new drink; as well as a flier which he hung upon the beam next to the counter.

" Try our new drink!
Passion Punch
You're sure to love it.

Sponsored* by Gentyl D'Amond."
((By now, the flier is gone, and has been replaced, look to my next post for new one.))

Zaium chuckled as he glanced the flier over and walked towards the door, dismissing the circle of flame,"Oh I'm sure they'll -love- i'." he let out a hearty chuckle as he exited the building, locking the door until the morning.

((OOC: Okay, first "big" RP forum post, but enough about my insecurities! Details!

A new drink is being introduced to the Blue Recluse, only that flier portion is really meant to be known ICly by anyone, but OOcly! The drink has a bit of love potion mixed into it; however it is diluted after all, and it's completely experimental. Unfortunately I don't actually have a drink to represent it, so if you want to participate, just ICly order the drink. Since it's experimental and it should effect everyone slightly differently anyway, feel free to come up with how it will effect you, if at all.

Feel the love!

Jalou noticed the ad to her right, as she sat alone at a table preparing to review her lyrics again.
Feeling reluctant to prepare for the upcoming funeral, she gave into temptation and read the flyer; It certainly wasn't one of her's.

"Try our new drink!
Passion Punch
You're sure to love it.

Sponsored* by Gentyl D'Amond"

Now feeling that she had wasted time, she returned to her seat. She tought to herself, "Just a drink ad, nothing to be interested in. As if I can love a drink, let alone anything but Her..."
She took a sip of her tea and cracked open her poetry book, flipping to the page ripe for reviewing. Looking down at the page, she mouthed the words as she played them through her head. "I sleep by your shadow, remembering your light.."
She sighed, thinking "I may as well head back to my room if I'm going to practice this. I don't need to be crying in public."

She shut her book and walked toward the door, looking at her own flyer on the wall. She now sudenly felt her apathy fade away. She glanced back to the ad on the other side of the tavern, and thought to herself, "Maybe I'll try one, some day. Perhaps when I'm back. Somebody obvious wants people to drink it," She looked back up to her own flyer on the wall, "So I'll be a good patron, for once. Maybe when I'm back..."

She exited the Recluse and mounted her gryphon.

Cray scowled at the flyer.

He had spoken with Zaium prior to this, hearing the foreboding news of the drink before it came. He was still unnerved.

"Good thing I don't drink," he murmured.

Ria loved the fruity drink she made; although, as of late, she was finding it difficult to have the time to go gather the needed ingredients. During one of her trips into the Recluse she saw the sign..

She had been here a few nights past when Zaium was talking to Gentyl.. So she believed the drink was sponsored by Gentyl. Ria slipped up to the bar and ordered herself a glass of the Passion Punch. She took a few sips before being invited to sit with some friends and fellow Holy Guards. She made small talk with her friends, all along sipping at the Passion Punch.

Then, out of the corner of her eye she saw Belyden ((feline form)). Ria had met the druid before, but conversation had always been discouraged by her parents and parents' friends. Tonight was going to be odd. Ria smiled and waved at Belyden. He came over to her and nuzzled against her leg and licked her hand, making Ria squeal. Throughout this, Cyrus was having a wound mended at the table behind her. Although she was concerned for her father, she didn't show it. Having too much fun petting and cooing at Belyden.

Her judgement remained clouded until the next day, when a small tinge of regret for ignoring her father hit her. She murmured an apology into the hearthstone to Knight Taelanas, as she had mouthed off to him. Although, she was still being pulled to Belyden..

Zaium sighed within the confines of his lab, he had thought the first round of tests went extremely well. Other than a few .... "mishaps" of people over-reacting to the punch, it had seemed to -mostly- fulfill it's intended purpose of simply amplifying any already existing or not yet discovered feelings of love. And now Gentyl wanted him to remove her name from the flier? The potion was being made for her after all; ah, but oh well, Gentyl had still authorized him to move on to the next stage of testing. He just had to refine his mixture a bit, and remove Gentyl's name from the new flier. As well as a few surprises of his own.

Zaium walked into the Blue Recluse, not bothering with the late night solitude that his last phase required for preperations; and promptly walked up to where the old flier used to hang before Gentyl removed it, to hang up the new, improved one.

"Try our new drinks!*
Now in new flavors!**

Passion Punch! Lovely Lime! Amorous Apple! Smitten Strawberries! Cherry Crush! Luscious Lemon! Orange!

*Caution: Drinks contain traces of Potion LV-01
**Drinks can be custom ordered, alcoholic, or non-alcoholic."

((OOC: Hhho-kay, so, Gentyl has removed the old flier, so the one above is all that would be seen in the Recluse as of now, at least until the next phase of testing. Each of these new drinks will actually have an intended "reaction" though since it's experimental still feel free to change it up a bit.
Passion Punch: Anything goes!
Lovely Lime: Already existing feelings of attraction grow stronger.
Amorous Apple: Get -really- friendly. Perhaps uncomfortably so.
Smitten Strawberries: Fall in "love" with the first few -things- you see.
Cherry Crush: Fall in "love" with the first -person- you see.
Luscious Lemon: It actually counters the other drinks. No effect otherwise.
Orange: You fall in love with the drinks themselves.

Feel the Love!

The talk with Zaium had gone well, or as well as it ever goes with someone from Lluchduu Ocheliad. Sometimes she thought Imperon put something in their drinking water to make them purposely not realize the potential for disaster.

Of course, Gentyl seemed to attract chaos as well, so perhaps it was just the combination of Gentyl and Lluchduu to blame. They had a meeting almost as soon as she stepped off the ship. As Taelanas said, fortunately there were no unplanned children on the way or unwanted marriages, but Zaium's brew definitely did stir up feelings of lust.

According to the Regent Tenwit, limes enhanced the "romantic humours" and lemons incited more warlike responses. She wasn't sure she believed it since she drank lemons in her tea all the time and didn't feel any more warlike. She did refuse the limes the Regent kept offering her just in case, though.

She still thought the plan would work. Get the Grims full up on the punch and they would be more than ready to marry Vloth off to Spricket. With any luck he would be faunching at the bit to marry the imp. With even more luck, they would be more interested in making love than war and it would be one more horde war party off the battlefield. With the best of luck they would be so busy tending to their growing families they wouldn't have time for war for years.

"Sepha, I don't think sending the horde this potion is a good idea," Catrella said. "I'm rather uncomfortable with the idea of an orc or tauren full of love potion on the battlefield."

Gentyl squeezed another wedge of lemon into her tea. "I don't really think a random orc or tauren is going to have the overwhelming desire to marry you on a battlefield," Gentyl replied.

"Marriage isn't what I'm worried about," she replied.

"I don't really think it will have that much of an effect, do you?"

Taelanas shook his head. "You don't understand what this drink does. It isn't a love potion, it's a lust potion."

"Interesting. Are you sure? How do you know?"

He shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Oh."

She had to think about this some more. Now all of the women were agreeing with Catrella. It wouldn't be good if they all refused to take the field due to fear of a romantic Grim. What would happen if Abominus drank some?

Poor Red Earth. Well, maybe it was time she settled down and raised a family.

Taran wanders through Orgrimarr as he is approached by an AAMS runner...

"I don' tink I an I be havin anyone in da Alliance dat been wantin ta be givin me nuttin.."

"Special delivery from Ms. Gentyl, she wishes to extend an olive branch in the interest of friendship, or in this case raise a glass.... please sign here"

Taran takes the glass of limeade from Snowcaller and flips a couple gold coins over and dismisses him with a curt "Tanks, be seein joo," as he sniffs the brew. "Huh, Gentyl... I an I been hearin 'bout dat one... Poisonin' don' seem ta be her style.. I wondah..." Taran takes another sniff and gets idle thoughts appreciating curve of an orcwoman's thigh.

"What could she be wantin?" Taran thinks as he squints up at the hot sun over Orgrimarr, sweat gathering on his brow. "I suppose dat if she really wanted ta be doin harm, she would do sometin else..." as he raises the cold glass to his lips he realizes the refreshment would help him cool down if he were to travel in the Firelands. "I wondah if dere be any o' dem Gnome-tings out dere ta be feedin ta da Lava beasties out dere.." and a randy thought starts across his mind "or if dere be anytin' else ta be gettin da boredom outa me....."
