A Simple Proposition [Rp Event]

[Bright yellow fliers adorn several places throughout several major Alliance cities. They are all written in Draenic.]

Fellow Draenei,

As of late I have become concerned about the direction we are going as a species; we idle about in a city we have no history with. Many of us become intimately involved with members of another race, and while I understand that "love is blind", our own people suffer for it. We are the closer to the Holy Light than any other species on Azeroth, yet the Stormwind Cathedral is the religious center of the Alliance. Brothers and sisters, our culture is dissolving from beneath us, and I will do everything in my power to prevent that. However, it takes many to succeed at such a feat.

I would ask any Draenei who still cares for our kind and wishes to see us flourish as we did long ago on Draenor gather with me at Azure Watch on Azuremyst Isle on the Twenty-fourth of September at 7:30 in the evening to have a meeting about our lot in life. With the Light's blessing, we will succeed.

((The event will be on Saturday, September 24'th at 7:30 P.M. server time. Will be speaking the Draenei language only, so it would be preferable if this turned out to be a Draenei-only event =) ))

Meriste was sitting with her back to an apple tree, gazing up at the night sky over Stormwind, when a bright yellow flyer blew past her and caught her attention. She leaned over to pick it up and noticed that it was written in her native language. Intrigued, she began to read.

Many of us become intimately involved with members of another race.

Over the past several months, Meriste had grown accustomed to the other races and their ways. She thought of the Guard as family, but had she neglected ties bound by blood?

We idle about in a city we have no history with.

She left Azure Watch behind to broaden her horizons. Her journey took her everywhere, but she settled here, in the service of the Pia Presidium. Azure pines had become apple trees. She had returned to the place of her birth, her shattered homeland, and considered staying there. But this world needed her more…didn't it?

Brothers and sisters, our culture is dissolving beneath us. Our own people suffer for it.

She often exchanged letters in Draenic with her father and she conversed in the language with her friend Mira, but true exposure to the rich culture and history of her race was sparse. Many Draenei returned to Outland years ago, leaving only a few on Azeroth; her father remained in Azure Watch. She had never asked him why.

I would ask any Draenei who still cares for our kind and wishes to see us flourish as we did long ago on Draenor to gather with me at Azure Watch.

Azure Watch, her first home in this world. It was time to return, to pay a visit to her father with unanswered questions and the wisdom she had gained through traveling. It was time to seek other Draenei, who surely had as many questions as she did.
