New to the Realm and In-Game Role Play.

As the name states, I'm new to this Realm and sadly In-game Role Playing as well. I transferred here about two weeks ago and haven't really done much on the Realm. I really have no idea where to start besides getting a few RP addons such as MRP and GHI. I was going to join the OOC and IC chats for Alliance but I still haven't built up enough courage to do so with such a small amount of knowledge of this Realm and RP.

I was hoping that someone could point be in the right direction of a better understanding of this Realm, and maybe just a little of RP tips would be a plus. Anything that can help with these two things would be great, thanks for reading.

First of all, let me say this - welcome to Cenarion Circle!

I encourage you to go ahead and jump in the OOC and IC chat channels. As a whole, the role players on this server are friendly and helpful. The great thing about Cenarion Circle is that new role players have a chance to step in and find their niche - we will help you get there. I have been playing here for about four months now and I love it. I also arrived here new to RP on WoW.

One guild over here, Azeroth College, has been hosting classes for new role players. I'm not sure when those are scheduled, but I can find out for you. I see that you are already in a guild - I'm not sure what type of guild it is, but you might consider looking into the various RP guilds over here. Depending on your character's personality type and motivations, we would be glad to suggest from a number of great guilds. Having other people to bounce ideas off of and to talk to IC and OOC makes a big difference in your RP experience.

Be sure to take a look at all of the stickied threads for roleplayers. Also take a look at the Cenarion Circle Wiki:

Good luck! I hope you find what you are looking for here on this server.

Thanks for your help, I'll be sure to look at those things and if it isn't any trouble could you find out the time for the classes. Also, thanks for the welcome!

Join the channels! It's much, much easier to get involved that way. Don't be shy; if you goof something up someone'll just tell you. We're not very picky people.

Also join the AAMS with all your alts. *nod nod* It's very good karma for new roleplayers. Guarantees them long and healthy lives on the server. Like rubbing a gnome's belly only better.

Thanks for all your help, I think now I have a better handle on In-game Role play and the Realm itself. Thanks again for all the help.

I just created a character on Cenarion Circle myself. Is the AAMS Alliance Branch easy to get into? Sorry to thread-hijack.

Very easy. Just do a /who AAMS when you are online and just about anyone can explain the guild and application process to you. :)

Back on topic: Dosin, welcome to CC! I actually saw you RPing it up at the Recluse earlier this evening. Glad to see that you are getting acclimated. If you haven't joined the channels yet, do so! We really are a friendly bunch and you'll have a much fuller experience here when you tap into our community.

Sorry to say that my personal schedule has gone haywire, and I also happen to be some form of sick.

However, I've been going over standardized versions of my classes so that seasoned RPers that I have hired on can do the classes as well. COme to think of it, I should really get on that...

Reckon my best guess is he's got hisself a bad case of tongue rot. Droppin' all'a them letters and stuff ain't really a natural sorta thing.

Though, come ta think of it, he might'a gone an' had hisself a stroke, even.

That's my, uh, pro-fesh-in-ul opinion as a Doctor.

Huh.

Migh' be a cultist. Sorta sounded.. Old Goddish.

Sure as hell ain't Yogg, though, ain't nothin' I've ever heard out of any of those boxes. Maybe it's uh, C'thun.

Or, yeah. Just tongue rot, or one of those stroke-things. Both, maybe, if'n he's the unlucky sort.
