Team Alaska is looking for a balance/resto druid to fill out our raid. We are a small raid group mostly made up of real life friends who, as you might guess, live in Alaska. The raid is composed of just the ten raiders plus a couple of alt backups we ask if someone has to miss, so anyone joining would be in full time.
Team Alaska only recently started raiding a little before patch 4.2 and after starting Firelands in mostly 353s we're happy with how fast we've progressed. We also pride ourselves on efficiency, we have raided two days a week since Firelands came out and defeated 5/7H before the recent round of nerfs, we're now 6/7H and working on heroic Ragnaros.
Our ideal candidate should be very comfortable either doing DPS as balance or healing. Currently you can expect to heal on most of the earlier fights in Firelands, while dps'ing for Rag. Our hope is that come 4.3 they'll give resto shaman a bone in ten mans and our resto shaman can finally fulfill his dream of being a full-time healer, in which case you'd be able to DPS most 2-healer fights unless there's something that makes resto druid/enh shaman much more optimal.
Obviously being able to make our raid times (see below) is necessary, though being a small raid group we try to adjust raid times to accommodate people whenever possible. Gear wise we expect applicants to have taken the effort to obtain gear as best as possible outside of raids at a minimum. Knowledge about Fireland fights both normal and heroic is required, and experience is also a plus.
Flasks/food/repairs are provided for. Loot is done by discussion to get upgrades where they're most needed, and /random when there isn't an obvious choice.
Our raid schedule is not exactly set in stone, we have preferred times to raid when possible. Raid end times are also not preset, we average about three hours each day but they can vary from as little as a couple hours to a little over four.
Our start times are as follows:
Friday: 7:30pm server
Sunday: 3:30pm server
We have instead raided on Thursday or Saturday in the past, and semi-frequently have to push the Sunday raid start time back to 5:30pm server due to scheduling conflicts.
