<This missive appears on many of the street corners in Ogrimmar, Undercity, Thunder Bluff, and Silvermoon City.>

Honorable Members of the Horde, Halaa calls upon your aid!

It is this Mag'Har's duty to report that two of our own have been identified as traitors to the Warchief. With the help of these two vermin, the town of Halaa is in danger of coming under the control of the Alliance once more. For obvious reasons, this cannot be allowed to happen.

We call for your assistance in helping defend our ancestral homeland against the likes of the draenei and the humans of Stormwind.

Lok'tar ogar, my friends! Hellscream's eyes are upon you!

Signed,
Agar, Farseer of the Mag'Har

This message is NOT delivered to you by the AAMS! Nope, not at all. You must be seeing things!

A not-so-brief story of what's going on ICly can be found here:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3280530446

In short? One of Pia Presidium's own has been captured by the orcs of Nagrand. Both the Pia, and, surprisingly, two of the Mag'har's own are trying to aid the human in escaping from Halaa. The Mag'har have called upon the Horde at large for aid against the imminent invasion.

Here's how this will work:
If Halaa is not currently in the hands of the Horde at the time of the event, they will quickly be allowed to retake it. Once the Horde is in control of the objective and ready to go, the Alliance will launch their attack. A successful Alliance capture will mean Lahkin of Pia Presidium has been rescued. An un-successful capture...well, no need to spoil a good story by telling it early, right?

If you can, please RSVP.

Finnaeus stood on a floating island in the middle of Nagrand, overlooking Halaa. Outland was an unknown factor to Finnaeus, and even standing on a platform floating in mid-air put him out of his element. The mission at hand, however, narrowed his focus. Lahkin was somewhere in Halaa, and he had to be rescued.

Finnaeus reached up and adjusted the monocle on his face. He had it refurbished by an ingenius gnome to zoom, giving him great vision when he needed to scout. Having been unfamiliar with the terrain, Finnaeus spent time traversing the rolling plains, becoming more familiar with the environs. He noted with trepidation that Garadar was closer to Halaa than Telaar, which would make reinforcing an attack difficult. The Mag'har had the advantage in defending the town when the Pia and its allies came for Lahkin.

Despite the monocle, Finnaeus saw no sign of Lahkin. The latest intelligence was that the boy was here. He heard the beat of wings, and Gentyl landed next to him atop her black drake. He nodded to her, adjusting the monocle for greater vision.

"Do you see anything?" she asked.

"No sign of Lahkin," he responded. "But the town is very defensible. The bridges are natural chokepoints, and the cliffs are sheer. Very difficult to assault."

Gentyl nodded. "The battle is very rarely easy."

"Garadar is very close as well. They'll reinforce more quickly than we will. They may have more in numbers."

"There is no option but success," Gentyl responded. "Lahkin must be saved."

"Indeed. Perhaps if we harassed Garadar. Draw some attention away from Halaa."

"We could have our ghosts slip in and disrupt them," Gentyl said, shifting atop her drake. "That may work."

"At the very least it may confuse them and buy us some time. At best we think their ranks and make the assault easier."

"Then that is our path forward," Gentyl said.

"Then I will stay in Nagrand," Finnaeus said. "If you see Desmend, please let him know. He'll want to be informed."

"Desmend hates to be uninformed," Gentyl said, nodding. "I will see to it that he is informed." Her eyes trained on Finnaeus. "Do not get yourself caught."

Finnaeus raised an eyebrow, a grim determination.

"If all goes to plan, I won't be seen," Finnaeus said. He bowed. "Safe journey, Lady Gentyl."

Without another word, Finnaeus stepped off of the platform. The air rushed to meet him, and he twisted into a crow. With a flap of his wings he turned, coasting on the breeze towards Garadar.

((After careful thought, I plan for Mira to be the one to take part, but just in case, Poni will be left logged out in the immediate vicinity.))

May I ask why?

((From what I remember, the deleted post above Gentyl's was a low-level alt from another server, who basically called out the Horde for having non-RPer PVPers show up to fight.

I wasn't there, and I'm not certain about what happened, but I'm guessing Gen hopes to cut down the griefing at the next event.))

Araceli, I have a low whine, low drama rule associated with my events, but I'll answer with the caveat we are not complaining. I could care less if we get facerolled in a pvp event and everyone who attends one I have anything to do with is told point blank to be ready to die and not complain about it.

We basically had two raids show up. The rp/pvp community and another raid that was doing the rude emotes, spitting. laughing etc on death and then corpse camping us non-stop. It gets frustrating when you have to die several times just to try and rez run your body away far enough to survive more than a few seconds. Even then some were just following and waiting. PVP is fun. Being honor farmed, not so much.

The first raid was trying to get the second one to stop the corpse camping, but they wouldn't listen so the rp/pvp group finally gave up and left the event. We had looked forward to a good old-fashioned brawl that lasted a long time and everyone had fun.

((Many thanks to those who showed up. To my Hordies in particular--this event couldn't have happened if not for you! You were well-complimented in the Alliance OOC channels. (Except you corpse-campers...)

And of course, you all have my personal thanks. Thank you.

Some things did not go as planned and for that, I apologize. If nothing else, this showed me places to improve on for old-fashioned PvP events in the future. At the moment no more are in the works, but with enough interest...maybe.))
