An RP-related Question :o

I happened to notice that on some of the PTR servers, there oftentimes are people who are looking for more for "Kingdom RP". I have never heard of Kingdom RP before, and I don't think I've ever seen it happen on our server.

I was hoping that more RP-savvy people could tell me what Kingdom RP is. Is it just a popular trolling method on the test servers? Is it not RP at all but some sort of game inside WoW? I don't really know how else to speculate beyond that. :O

Kingdom RP is a style of Role Playing in which the participants all take on the roles of a kingdom; Ruler, advising council, knights, nobles, merchants, craftsmen, peasants, criminals, etc. Then, the group of RPers will find a place to act out their kingdom (usually somewhere without a lot of traffic, to avoid griefers) and "Viola!" Kingdom RP. There's a lot more details involved with making this type of RP successful, but that's the basic gist.

...sounds like another name for Town RP. On a PTR where (I might be wrong) you have temporary toons anyway, I guess it's not such a bad idea.

The closest example I can think of here is Lluchduu Ocheliad. Though Imperon is not a king, he is a great rper with a fascinating backstory for his guild.

All Hail Lord Imperon!

Also the Caer Darrow Renewal Project (and the other Renewal Projects before it, I suppose), which is just player characters occupying an existing but empty town and using it for shops, taverns, etc.
