The RP Scene on Cenarion Circle

Hey folks, I'm really curious about the state of roleplaying on this server. I used to be a fairly well-known member of the community a while ago on my main, though I've faded into obscurity thanks to the passing of time, coupled with my abandonment of said character.

One thing that I always regretted was never really giving roleplaying a chance on this server, particularly due to the fact that Blizzard does such a poor job of facilitating it.

So then, a few questions:

1. Is there much RP-exclusive activity on this server? I feel like Cenarion Circle has become little more than a glorified normal server with somewhat slower raid progression. I'm disheartened when I decide to check out the RP server forums, only to see countless people asking about raiding guilds and doing dungeons. I know there is a tightly knit community, and that's great, but I love the notion of widespread roleplaying.

2. How do actual roleplaying interactions work out? Do characters just...agree on how things will play out? Is there some agreed-upon mechanism for deciding who is going to win a conflict? (I've seen people use a dicerolling method on another server, not sure if you guys do anything like that.)

3. What faction promotes more roleplaying? I'm a Hordie, and on the rare occasions that I do pop on, well, I can't say I notice much. Is the Alliance better off?

1. Leave trade and join an ooc channel. Those thoughts of worry will eventually ebb.

The reason for all the PvE and PvP posts are connected to the release of some actual competition for WoW, and thus some folks are seriously considering leaving. Their friends still want raid and PvP progression, so they are looking for replacements or transplants.

Honestly, some of us die-hard RPers are looking into options on how to broaden the RPing scene and make it more accessible.

2. The mechanism is called OOC conferring. Sometimes, though, it's best to just see where the RP takes us, and the characters' personalities will make the decisions for us.
A small cadre have been having serious discussions about RP combat. I will eventually be authoring an in-game class on all the methods, but my own business is demanding a LOT of my time as of late.

3. We could use more Horde roleplayers. Alliance RP is pretty strong, but Horde is in the valley part of the peaks and valleys cycle. We'd be happy to have you on the Alliance, but we'd be delighted to see the Horde get more lively.

First is a yes. Da OOC channels an' a smatterin' of public events be helpin' lots dere. Most of da stories an' events ya see advertised are free ta hop inta, or at least be askin' about.

Da second, it be dependin' who ya runnin' with. Some folks like da dice-rollin' way, others be likin' more free-form, still others will decide it by duels an' War Games. Yer best bet be ta ask when ya find yourself on da wrong end of a sword which way be bein' used dat day.

Fo' da third, I hear da Alliance be more active an' friendly right now, but dere be Horde guilds like da Homeland tryin' ta fix dat.
