PIMP RBGs in S11

As most of you may be aware, the 10th season of competitive PvP is about to draw to a close on November 29th. This means that likely one week later, the new season will begin, which is December 6th. This means a complete reset of match-making rating as well as actual ratings for both arenas and RBGs. This then means that people need to play many RBGs in a row in order to 'grind' their rating back up to a desirable level, which means an end to the usual protectionism to RBG invites due to fear of losing rating by bringing in a low rated player.

Many members of PIMP (Pirates In My Porridge) are seasoned PvPers with extensive arena and RBG experience, and most of us have an RBG rating above 1800. However, due to the lengthy nature of RBGs, we usually only squeeze in 4-5 games a week, and only win about 3-4. At this rate, it would take us a minimum of 5 weeks (assuming 4 wins a week and an average of 100 rating per win) to bring our rating back up to optimal, and that's only on one character, where many of us have 3+ active toons.

So in the 0-1600 grind we won't be picky about much; not composition, player experience, etc. It's a great opportunity to be able to play with the most experienced Horde side PvPers.

What we are looking for:

- Players interested and is appropriately prepared* for the early RBG grind in season 11

* means that by the time you RBG, all of your gear is S10 ruthless or S11 ruthless. S10 vicious gear or worse will be heavily frowned upon.

- We may be playing at random hours of the day, whenever we can find enough people. This is for the sake of getting in as many games as possible for as many people as possible.

- If your performance is exceptional and is beyond the 0-1600 range that we expect, you may be considered for regular guild runs in the future, if you are so interested. Guild membership is also a possibility. Currently we have a distinct lack of frost mages and disc priests, so if you play one of the above well we are definitely interested in further business.

If you are interested in this opportunity let me know in game or here. I can also be contacted on my paladin alt, Maplelina.

I would, However I seem to have been shunned from your guild. (Previous name was Lawlcat). I have pretty much beat every PimP member I have dueled, aside from Frostureself, Who is a beast. Just wondering what was up with the hatred. You stole my entire guild from me lol.

As was mentioned for at least the 0-1600 grind anybody who is geared and suits the needs of the hour can join. As for whether continued partnership will exist past that point will have to depend on performance. At that time there shouldn't be much gear inequity; so it's strictly a comparison of skill.

PIMP only invites people, generally speaking, who have achieved 1800 in 3v3 or 5v5 arena on that toon, and exceptions are made only when an officer vouches for you or some sort of special circumstance (like that one time we really wanted to make a guild run so we invited two people who were in the group to the guild, but still ended up with only 7/10 anyway). Anybody who has reached 1800 is invited, regardless of whether or not anybody likes you... since it's not a popularity contest.

I had the gear and the vouches, just a few of your officers didn't like the fact that a keyboard turning feral was beating them every go at a duel. I may be wrong, but that's what it seemed like to me.

Regardless, you are more than welcome to join our RBG grind next week for the 0-1600 push at least if you are available.

Even I would vouch for Currency or Lawlcat. Great player, hes pretty good, and I hear now he has a razer Naga.

As for you Elgunaz, stop micromanaging it. If Lawlcat is welcome to come for the 0-1600 push then let him come into the guild. There is no point of not letting him join. Doesn't matter if you have personal or not feelings about him.

We have let multiple people in with below an 1800 rating. If he has the vouches from the officers, why not let him join?
