As most of you may be aware, the 10th season of competitive PvP is about to draw to a close on November 29th. This means that likely one week later, the new season will begin, which is December 6th. This means a complete reset of match-making rating as well as actual ratings for both arenas and RBGs. This then means that people need to play many RBGs in a row in order to 'grind' their rating back up to a desirable level, which means an end to the usual protectionism to RBG invites due to fear of losing rating by bringing in a low rated player.
Many members of PIMP (Pirates In My Porridge) are seasoned PvPers with extensive arena and RBG experience, and most of us have an RBG rating above 1800. However, due to the lengthy nature of RBGs, we usually only squeeze in 4-5 games a week, and only win about 3-4. At this rate, it would take us a minimum of 5 weeks (assuming 4 wins a week and an average of 100 rating per win) to bring our rating back up to optimal, and that's only on one character, where many of us have 3+ active toons.
So in the 0-1600 grind we won't be picky about much; not composition, player experience, etc. It's a great opportunity to be able to play with the most experienced Horde side PvPers.
What we are looking for:
- Players interested and is appropriately prepared* for the early RBG grind in season 11
* means that by the time you RBG, all of your gear is S10 ruthless or S11 ruthless. S10 vicious gear or worse will be heavily frowned upon.
- We may be playing at random hours of the day, whenever we can find enough people. This is for the sake of getting in as many games as possible for as many people as possible.
- If your performance is exceptional and is beyond the 0-1600 range that we expect, you may be considered for regular guild runs in the future, if you are so interested. Guild membership is also a possibility. Currently we have a distinct lack of frost mages and disc priests, so if you play one of the above well we are definitely interested in further business.
If you are interested in this opportunity let me know in game or here. I can also be contacted on my paladin alt, Maplelina.
