CSI-UC recruiting 1 permanent OT for 4.3

Hi there!

CSI Undercity's "CSI Black Ops" 10-man raid team is currently on the hunt for a new offtank for the upcoming patch. The ideal candidate will be a Death Knight or Druid, but well-geared and reliable Paladins and Warriors will also be considered.

We run Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Due to our somewhat restrictive raid time, we expect 100% attendance, and maintain a set roster of 10 players. As a member of this team, we expect you understand that you have 9 other human beings counting on you. Thus, missing the raid should only happen when it's out of your control, or when you give advance notice. (IE, missing the raid because your mother is in the hospital is OK. Missing the raid because your friends showed up and wanted you to go out with them is NOT.) Even in cases of it being out of your control, if you consistently miss the raid, eventually we will have to replace you.

As a group, we are semi-casual and enjoy a fairly relaxed and uncompetitive progression rate. We cleared 12/12 Tier 11 just prior to 4.2 dropping (after getting a late start in mid February), and cleared 7/7 Tier 12 just a few weeks ago (although in this case, lag was causing serious problems for us against Rag for several weeks. Once we thrashed our ISPs enough to get them to fix the problem and we had a lag-free night, we 3-shot him.) We proceeded to get H Shannox to 50% after only 4 attempts and with a pugged healer and me offtanking (I normally heal).

Semi-casual raiding means we like to enjoy raids, but we also we take our raids seriously. Casual means we are a fun, rambunctious group. We like to chit-chat during trash (and during bosses on farm). We sometimes act silly. We joke. We cajole. We enjoy the time. Semi-casual means we like to make solid progression, and often this means discussing what caused a wipe and/or who caused a wipe. We will not baby you. If you make a mistake that causes a wipe, you will be told about it. Not in a mean, jerkish way, but in a matter-of-fact way. Not to make you feel stupid, but to help you correct the issue so it doesn’t happen again. If it is too much for you when your mistakes are pointed out in a raid setting, our raids aren’t for you. If your performance is consistently bad, there may come a point where we have to say “Sorry, but we just can’t bring you to raids anymore.”

We'd love to hear from you soon. If you're interested, please fill out an application:

Then contact me in-game. I am virtually always on Surehoof, but you may also find me occasionally on my alts: Truehorn, Finnicks, Fayrnae, or Rachion.

Aside from raid nights, my online time is a little unpredicatable. Working in fast food has that effect.

However, from now until next Sunday I have nothing but day shifts, so I'll be available most evenings. You can contact me Horde-side or, if you prefer, I can jump on one of my alliance alts and we can chat there:
