So, I hijacked this link from the WrA forums. Watch at your own risk!

Also, spoilers. Oh, and I believe there were some people in AllianceOOC that now owe me five bucks.

I found it sadly anticlimactic, to be honest...this is the end result of destroying the creature that tore the world asunder?

I expected something a little more heroic and dramatic, like the aspects sacrificing their immortality akin to the Night Elves back at the end of WC3.

Criceto, I'm pretty sure that's what has happened here.

The Aspects had to put so much of their powers into turning the Dragon Soul into a weapon that could actually help defeat Deathwing that they effectively did sacrifice their immortality.

I don't know, I really enjoyed it. Can't have an ending like WotLK every time... gotta have a happy ending occasionally.

Pretty much the exact same ending speech in WC3 but it felt way more epic coming from Medivh. Whatever! They gotta do what they gotta do to clear the board for pandas and apparently that plan doesn't include all powerful dragons.

Not impressed.

Cliche stories can be carried with an interesting way of telling it.

This wasn't...terribly interesting. I don't normally join in the QQ, but I must say I'm pretty disappointed. So much that could be said and done throughout this expansion, but in the same way the talents were stripped of all meat, so were the plot lines. And the dungeons. And...a lot of things, really.

Where did it all go? To the books? Keep the game in the game, please.

World of Warcraft no longer feels like a world. Bring back the kind of creativity that makes me feel like the possibilities are endless, and under every rock is a new treasure to be found. Not the kind that makes me feel I'm in the dull modern world with a thin facade drawn over it to pretend its canon.

Blah. Okay. I'm done now.

Didn't seem like it, though. May be just the way the dialogue rolls out. To me it came off as "Oh by the way, we're mortal now because we don't care, have fun!"

I don't get how that could possibly have been the fulfillment of the Aspects destiny or whatever. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. *facepalm* I don't like this at all. I'd be ALL for the Aspects giving up their immortality if there was a good reason for it.

For instance, if they sacrificed their immortality to somehow weaken Deathwing so we can kill him, that I would find believable (if still cliche, but whatever). I do not find it believable that their great purpose was to help kill Deathwing. What was his great purpose? To get killed? If the Titans -- the great gods of order, basically -- saw this all coming when they made the Aspects why wouldn't they, I dunno, NOT make the Aspects? Or make them incorruptible somehow?

Besides, we already killed Malygos. If killing another Aspect was the purpose of the Aspects, this should have happened last expansion. AND if they're just giving up their immortality, why was the Embrace of Kalecgos such a big deal? Why even have them decide they need a new Aspect (since apparently we don't really need them, huh?)

As I've said several times in AllianceOOC, I love the story of WoW. I just can't stand the writers who keep effing it up.

I just wanna let the people that owe me money for not believing me when I said (as of May, btw) that Aggra was gonna be pregnant, I'll skip out on the physical cash and you can instead send me 500 gold.

All said, I think I should be on the writing staff for Blizzard, because I saw all of this happening months ago, even down to the Aspects being used as a sort of power conduit to make Deathwing explode. The only thing I saw wrongly, honestly, was that BGJ wasn't in danger of dying. I honestly thought they'd tease us with him being more at risk than he was.

I wonder if they are going to make LGJ a major story piece in Mists...

Personally, I figured Aggra was going to die.

Though, I suppose there's still time.

Oh, Metzen, don't do it. Do not listen to Oskor. BGJ does not need to be a single father, raising his LGJ all on his own. And do not make the death of Aggra a tragic accident caused by Garrosh that leads to much misgiving amongst the leaders of the Horde! DO NOT DO IT!

-hangs head as he realizes Warchief Metzen has probably already ordered it so...-

I'm just amazed that anyone bet against you, Jolcasta. That was so obvious. I'm terribly disappointed in this ending. All the aspects are now mortal? yeah, not impressed.

Nah, if she dies, it'll be the Alliance who kills her. Right now, Thrall doesn't have much of a reason to get pulled back into the wars of MoP.

Killing Aggra off would give him a perfect reason to get reinvolved.

So he can "Haduken!" the Alliance single-handedly? Negative.

So where does the Alliance fit into that ending? At all? Because the mortals are clearly orcs as indicated.

Does that mean the Alliance is technically immortal? Can we be the next Aspects? Then we can be quest givers for real!

Well aren't the Draenei immortal? So.... yeah.... thanks, Aspects, for hating on the Alliance.

Maybe the Aspects are going to become like the Naaru for the Horde. :P

Funny thought here:

If the dragons aren't immortal anymore...does that mean they too are part of the age of mortals?
