((This could've gone in three different RP threads, so instead of spamming them out, I'm just going to go for bust and give it it's very own! Again, no chat log, conversations tweaked a bit, blah blah.))
Lahkin had barely returned from the assault on Hellscream's Watch when he was dragged out again to Hearthglen by a call put in from Erelyn. Three Horde were waiting for him, two of which he recognized.
The blood elf death knight seemed nervous as he explained to Lahkin his stance. While they understood defending the night elven homeland from orcish encroachers, they worried about Lahkin's true intents behind the attack in Ashenvale.
"Th' likes of Ragefang would love t'see us all dead," he explained.
"Can't abide that," put in Raoul.
"Y' might be gettin' caught up in troubles bigger than y'," Arothand continued, watching Lahkin anxiously for his answer.
Lahkin had heard it before, especially from Turrick, and he breathed a sigh in relief--the Horde here didn't want to incite conflict anymore than he did. And they knew. They understood what it was like to defend a home, or to hunt down a monster like Dreejin and the Modas without wishing harm on the civilians they hid behind.
And they were okay with it. Lahkin wasn't sure you could call it an alliance, so much as an agreement of conduct. The Razortalons were neutral to Terra Incognita, maybe even friendly, if they happened to pass each other by in the wide world. If they met each other in the battlefield, either defending or on the hunt, they'd go easy on each other. And they'd steer clear of certain targets, whether or not people like Ragefang did as well.
Neither of them wanted to see more innocents slaughtered.
Not even by Dreejin.
Lahkin struggled to keep a wide grin from appearing on his face. The Razortalons agreed to help find the troll, stating they had no love for him or his organization. Arothand told Lahkin to expect a letter from him shortly with any information they could find.
In return, Lahkin offered them access to Aerie Peak's famous ale, though he did have one caveat.
"And next time, could you just...tell us you want dwarven ale instead of smacking the dwarves for it?"
The Horde laughed. Lahkin smiled.
This was a good day.
