So as some of you probably noticed, I have been busy and away, but finally found my way back here! And decided to write a cool story to "cover up" why I was gone. Tell me what you all think!
"The sky was blackened with dots of rain, but that didn't stop the fire of Hell racing across Mount Hyjal. It had been about a full lunar cycle so far that Talanus kept up the grudging work of eradicating the demonic spawns of demons and Twilight Cultist. He and Luna both only ever got a few moments rest before they could hear the wind calling, weeping for help. He was there as a Sentinel, doing what he did best, but every day his heart and mind would ache of pain, increasing as the light rose and fell. Luna, his best friend, his companion, could read this agony of his, and would try soothing him by the simple act of nudging his side or licking his hands. Talanus appreciated her company very much, for without her, he would be alone in the wondering sky.
But the order had finally come in. The Priestess had placed a division of the Sentinels on break, to clear their mind and breath in air that wasn't polluted by the dammed. Tal' was both happy, but still sad at this, he was happy he could finally relax for awhile along with Luna, but afriad that Hyjal would fall while he was away.He decided would stay, but climb deep into the northern woods past the world tree to retrieve his well earned break. As he found a calm and peaceful spot where the wind sang, the trees whispered along, and the animals danced along, he sat slowly next to his companion.
"Rest my friend, for we must gather our strength for future battles."
As he said such, he laid down, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. Nature being the substance that lead him into the dream world, to sleep in peace. The moon being in it's full grace until the next cycle.
As Talanus awoke, he felt the cool breeze of the sky rushing onto his skin. Luna had been awake for awhile already, keeping an eye on there surroundings. He pulled a piece of meet out of his bag and fed it to her.
" Well, may we now seek the destruction of the rest of the corrupted my friend. And may it all end soon"
