((There are, at best, light ties to the Ebon Blade. Ragefang takes his orders from the Ebon Blade first, King Wrynn second, but for the most part, there's no meaningful RP connection.))

((I believe he did just say that the guild only has light ties to the Ebon Blade. As f ar as they seem to be concerned, the actual playable DKs are Horde/Alliance first, knights second - not to mention the fact that the ebon blade actually doesn't have much of a goal anymore, or purpose. I doubt Darion and the Ebon Blade have any discernible opinion of Sylvanas until Blizzard says otherwise, and to suggest they do would be ...poor rp etiquette, unless its made clear its merely IC propaganda.

That said, that is /not/ what is happening here, and I wish you luck with the guild, Ragefang :D))

(( Yeah, from the Western Plaguelands, Koltiras/Thassarian make it pretty damn clear that the Ebon Blade isn't really calling /any/ shots nowadays. With no clear cut purpose in the post-Cataclysm world, the Knights have rejoined the Horde or Alliance.

That said I can't really see them being like "WE HATE THE FORSAKEN", as, well. They're all Undead, of a sort. But as Ra said, until Blizzard says otherwise, it'd be poor RP etiquette to say so one way or the other as frankly we don't know, and it's never really good to RP for major lore characters. But, yes, not what's going on here. /nod ))

((Raoul, over on the Story Forum, Blizzard's C-Dev team has indicated that the Ebon Blade is watching Sylvanas "with concern", but that's about as far as they've gone. Likewise, Tirion and the Argent Crusade are doing the same, so it would seem they still maintain a tenuous alliance with the Knights of the Ebon Blade, though the Ashen Verdict would appear to be concluded.

But no, the Ebon Sanction is not a splinter group of the Ebon Blade, and the only real ties we have to the Ebon Blade is the fact that Ragefang is a Death Knight and still reports to Darion Mograine in Acherus. This is all about stopping the evil elements of the Horde, and any otherwise-aligned elements of the Horde who would defend the actions of the likes of Sylvanas Windrunner and Garrosh Hellscream.))

((I recall reading the bit about the Argents watching with concern, which is understandable, though can't remember anything about the Ebon Blade. Got a link? :o I'm curious, as blizzard has been largely quiet on what /most/ of the Wrath factions are doing as of late, heh, so. The most I've seen is from the bits during the Andorhal line, and those mentions may be horde specific as it was regarding Koltira.

Not that it pertains to this guild, of course, again. Just curious :D ))
