[H; RP] Black Hand Society

A neatly printed note that has been passed around through various Horde and Neutral cities.

Friends, a meeting of the Black Hand Society will be at the upper floor of Fenris Keep on March the Twenty-Fourth at Seven Bells. The Black Hand Society is a gathering for like minded people, those who are uninterested in the ethical binds and wish to discuss business, pleasure, whatever else may come up. Drinks and other pleasures will be provided on site.

((Whisper Aziel or me for an invite to the calendar event thingy or for more information. :) ))

The Black Hand Society is an event sponsored by the Modas il Toralar. It is a place for those of similar philosophy, taste and ethics to gather together in celebration. Come and sample the intoxicating herbs and spices of the Wormwood Undermarket. Trade blows in our arena or words over fine elven wine and orcish grog. Grow drunk with revelry and violence, embracing the primordial truths of our nature.

Our bouncers will do the best to ensure only those of a certain demeanor are allowed entry. Toss aside the restrictions of morality. Let not ethical tethers bind you. A perfect gathering for the ethically flexible.

The Black Hand Society is a perfect place to dispense of some coin, and build alliances with the darker factions of Azeroth. Violence is encouraged, but try not to kill those who are kindred. Those of the Toralar will not tolerate those who cross their shadow.

((or not-being that the person getting married has a lowered immune system due to illness..and it seems that the spouse is in bed with a fever and congestion, us going to the wedding isn't a good idea. so may be there after all)

The note catches Eldantios's eye as he walks through the Undercity. Eldantios tears the note off of the small post roughly.
"I may just need to stop by. Now, what to wear..." Eldantios walks off, musing over this.

((We never knew Modasi ever laid claim to Fenris until tonight. We tried not to attack (Enion struck us, though. sily elf.) but there needs to be some kind compromise over ownership of it. Just leave it be, give you it for a day somehow? WOTN goes to another location? Modas changes meeting places? You hide in teh basement (what?) ?))

((The Modas folks are very accommodating, Aorune, and since this is just a regularly-recurring event, they aren't likely to be there every time the Worgens of the Night are present. I don't see that this would impact your guild's RP much. I know when I was part of the guild, they held their Black Hand Society meetings up at Ravenholdt Manner, but have moved it, and to be fair, Fenris Keep is firmly in lands controlled by the Forsaken... ;)

But like I said, they're accommodating types OOC, so you should have little difficulty arriving at something that works for both guilds.))

((Thel, I'm gonna post this now, I haven't been able to catch ya Horde-side. While we do very much like Fenris, we can move if we must, and setting eyes on other potential sights. ))

((EDIT: While we haven't discussed yet, guild vote decided we are going for Pyrewood and Shadowfang Keep.))

((Quite a few of us were gone for some time. The actual physical Modas guild hall isn't a place in game, we use Fenris Isle for the same reason we used to use Ravenholdt, very few areas accommodate a party type event. Fenris Isle is the closest to where the Modas Sanctum is, is wonderfully empty due to phasing (back when phasing was being added and prepared for Cata, we did a lot of scouting of locations to be used for events like this).

Fenris Isle was a superior choice by virtue of being right next to the Undercity, near the ruins and lake so valued by many of the Modas and nice and empty. Feel free to use it, RP with it as you please. It is silly to lay claim to any static location in a game in a way that would deny others a right to use it as well. Sadly very few "keep" style locations exist within Horde territory and the place where Modas used to (for many years in the old days) have guild meetings (Karazhan, until it got covered with people when it was a major raid) always made for a poor party spot and difficult for quite a few to get to:P ))

((As I said before, we were scouting around for alternatives in case we agreed to leave Fenris. It was Gilnean love at first sight for Luptia when we came to Pyrewood and Shadowfang. So we don't use Fenris anymore (who knows, you now have a Sanctum!) and I redid my TRP2 signposts accordingly))

(( While Pyrewood makes a great stand-in for a village, you likely can't say, IC, that you're using Pyrewood, as lorewise and questwise the Forsaken burn and occupy the area.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, just pointing out the Silverpine quests. ))

((Haha, yeah. Its actually a phased area for anyone that did the Forsaken line - granted, most of Silverpine is. Has forsaken troops passing through as the village burns. >> that probably works out well enough for you, though :P As Aro said, just use it as a stand in spot. Hell, you can make up your own name now if you want :D ))

(( Haha Gilnean love at first sight. Sorry for the confusion, I'm still very new to role playing in WoW. So I applied some rules I learned on Moon Guard to here which I guess wasn't the best thing to do. But yes, we have moved and I feel it's a much better fit for us. Fenris Isle was great for the points you gave, Aziel. It was right below Undercity, and near Silverpine Forest for attacks. Also very close to Gilneas if we had wished to return there. Maybe I've read it wrong but I thought Fenris Isle belonged to the people of Hillsbrad who escaped and were also infected by the Worgen curse? Am I correct? ))

(( Mooost of those people were brutally slaughtered by the Forsaken as the Worgen tried to mount an offensive on them. So it's safe to say that Fenris likely belongs to the Horde, ICly, and it's confirmed that Pyrewood, is, well, burned to the ground and then occupied by Forsaken forces assaulting Gilneas.

That said, precisely what Ra said - it makes a great stand-in for elsewhere. ))

((Honestly? I'd recommend anyone that plays a Worgen do Silverpine quests Horde side. It continues the starter zone story line. Basically, by the end of the zone, Fenris keep has been cleared out by the Horde, Pyrewood burned to the ground, and the Gilnean Liberation Front defeated - Crowley literally orders all forces loyal to him to pull out, forcing the Bloodfang pack to follow in suit as they lost their support. The zone, effectively, belongs to the Forsaken. Gilneas, however, is still contested - if you really want a base, honestly, I recommend you go there. Its got some AMAZING spots, makes more sense lorewise [a Horde base in Westfall would be an odd sight], almost all of it is empty, and its simply a wonderful place. I'd be more than happy to fly you around on your Horde alt to show you, if you want. ))
