Your characters Theme Song

I am stealing this idea I saw on the Worlds End Tavern Forum! Basically, Pick a song, any song, that fits with your character and post it here! Then!! Explain your reasoning for choosing it! I 'll go first

Jack Johnson-At or With me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4O7ufx9D_s
(Tal' is represented by jack johnson on this video!)
I chose this song because as most of you know, Tal' does not like any race besides those few people who gain his trust. This song demonstrates that part of Tal', you are either with him or not. Many despise him for this choice, but because of past experiences he chooses this. Many people now go with what is the flow, but not Tal', he is your Traditional Kal'dorei, sticking to the old Kal'dorei way, and taking those who argue against him down. Tal' is an easy going guy, unless you provoke him! You either at me or with me!

I remember forums like these! Loved these things. I've got a few characters so, yeah.
Of course most of these would be Two Steps From Hell, but those are reserved for epic battles only. Since we're just talking themes in general, here's what I've got.:

Kairesh Fury (My night elf warrior) would have This Afternoon - Nickelback and His World - Zebrahead. This is because he's a very laid back, care free kind of individual who would happily beat the crap out of something if it was threatening the world. When he's not saving the world and being drunkenly awesome, he's just... well, drunkenly awesome in a bar and enjoying company with the rest of Feather's and some epic buddies.

Nynra Lirann Lightheart is a tough one because she's so devout and zealous. I'd have to go with Heaven Can Wait - Meatloaf, and this is because though she holds such a passion and respect to the holy Light, she still feels a need to defend the world around her before she can give herself up to the Light. For her, the peace of death and the glory of heaven can wait until other people areound her are happy.

Sathrasa is most likely On The Loose - Saga. This is an easy one to work with; Sath really doesn't care about people around here (save for a choice few) and she just goes around doing whatever the hell she wants regardless of how people feel about her or what the rules/laws of society are. She's basically already off the wall and running around doing things just because she can.

Mialera is, without a doubt, Still Alive - Jonathan Coulton, for obvious reasons; bat!@#$ insane and passionate about what she loves (murder and soul nomming), she is more than happy to destroy lives and people for her own work. And she has a backup plan in case she does actually die, which may or may not work, but insanity makes things like that awesome. And while you're dying, she'll be still alive. Probably.

Emarn Strahn would be Last of the Wilds - Nightwish and The Skyrim Bard Song - Skyrim (Cover by SongeLeReveur). This is because he's such a wanderer and journeyman; a trapper by trade and a poet at heart, Emarn travels the world to learn a good story and ply the trade of furs and meats to the markets. He loves the world around himself, and just enjoys being there.

This is kinda interestingting, as it's this song that gave me the idea for this character-the young girl's voice and the heavy angry animal side.

Hmm... Tyr's theme... hmm...

"Hear Me" by Kelly Clarkson for Tyr. She never really did get the feeling that anyone listened to her. Then again, she's also a bit off her rocker.
Also, "Letterbomb" by Green Day (The American Idiot musical version) when she's pissed off and/or beating something up. It's a very angry song, so it works.

Akira (My Hordeside rogue) would be "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day (The original). After all, what other song could you think of for a cynical, depressed Blood Elf rogue who killed his own father and has slight emotional issues?

I instantly fell in love with this song when Meriste found it last June. We were looking for a theme song for Pia's movie and it simply was the most perfect song we'd listened to. Everyone instantly fell in love with it.

If it weren't the Pia theme, I surely would take it as my own.

However, the following also fit Gentyl well, I think.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMmtBgMaF5I Ae Fond Kiss sung by Eddi Reader and written by Robert Burns.

Ae fond kiss and then we sever;
Ae fareweel, and then for ever!
Deep in heart-wrung tears I'll pledge thee,
Warring sighs and groans I'll wage thee.

Who shall say that Fortune grieves him,
While the star of hope she leaves him?
Me, nae cheerful twinkle lights me;
Dark despair around benights me.

I'll ne'er blame my partial fancy,
Naething could resist my Nancy:
But to see her was to love her;
Love but her, and love for ever.

Had we never lov'd sae kindly,
Had we never lov'd sae blindly,
Never met - or never parted,
We had ne'er been broken-hearted.

Fare-thee-weel, though first and fairest!
Fare-thee-weel, though best and dearest!
Thine be ilka joy and treasure,
Peace, Enjoyment, Love and Pleasure!

Ae fond kiss, and then we sever!
Ae fareweel, alas, for ever!
Deep in heart-wrung tears I'll pledge thee,
Warring sighs and groans I'll wage thee.

By Robert Burns

Long before Gentyl and Turncutt married or even thought of such a thing, he, after all swore that he had long ago given up the war of love for the love of war, he would bring her small gifts. The story behind the gifts was often the treasure. He had found a wee curiosity shop with siftings of dust on the treasures therein. It was in one of these visits he found some odd candles that glowed with a pale golden aura when lit. Sometime after that, he found an ancient book of Elven songs and poetry and gifted it to her. Small gifts in the great scheme of things, but gifts from the heart and that is what stole Gentyl's heart. The man with the heart of a warrior and the soul of a poet. So, Ae Fond Kiss one of the truly great poems seems appropriate.

Mo Ghile Mear by Mary Black

He is my hero, my dashing darling
He is my caesar, dashing darling.
I've had no rest from forebodings
Since he went far away my darling.

Every day I am constantly sad
Weeping bitterly and shedding tears
Because our lively lad has left us
And no news from him is heard alas.

The cuckoo sings not pleasantly at noon
And the sound of hounds is not heard in nut-filled woods,
Nor summer morning in misty glen
Since he went away from me, my lively boy.

Noble, proud young horseman
Warrior unsaddened, of most pleasant countenace
A swift-moving hand, quick in a fight,
Slaying the enemy and smiting the strong.

Let a strain be played on musical harps
And let many quarts be filled
With high spirit without fault or mist
For life and health to toast my lion.

Dashing darling for a while under sorrow
And all ireland under black cloaks
Rest or pleasure I did not get
Since he went far away my dashing darling.

For a while I was a gentle maiden
And now a spent worn-out widow
My spouse ploughing the waves strongly
Over the hills and far away.

****

For, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Do I really need to explain why a song called Robber Baron that actually includes the line "Robber Baron, in the tower" would be Imperon's theme song?

As for one that's more Ocheliad than Imperon personally. It's gotta be Requiem for a Dream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEOolYYe60k&feature=related

Flesh Field- The Collapse

It especially applies to when Thelinna was killed and necro'd by Aziel, trying to please him, and then... well.

"I want to hold onto you until I feel you breaking."

That for her sadism that came from being around Aziel a bit too much.

For Drake...I'd say this one would be his theme. The idea of going out in a blaze of glory, of doing one remarkable thing before he dies, yeah, that's kind of him. Plus it's the only song I can think of with the word "glory" in it so many damn times. xD

The other reason is that it repeatedly talks about time flying and dying, and...with his recent misadventure in the Caverns of Time and End-Time-Verse, the time theme just works, what with him living 55 years in 24 hours..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYxQOAz8Zy8

For Aeddan, a year ago I'd have said Raider's March from Indiana Jones. Though...given his recent partnership with a certain foot-tall robot overlord, I think this one might be more appropriate.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5M9UTlDb10

For Mogg'Kosh, my DK...Kag mentioned a song a few nights ago that I went back and listened to, and it works perfectly. xD He was even singing this for a bit in the tavern, last night, if anyone was about. It's...self-explanatory.
