((This is one of my first attempts at writing, enjoy!))
After several months in Northrend, Eldantios had returned to the main land. He'd been hesitant to go back to the tower of the Shadows of Lordaeron as the mistress could be... difficult at times. He had stayed for several days in within the Undercity and had been in the Horde's capitol as of late.
As he approached, Eldantios noticed that the guild's flags seemed to have disappeared for the most part and much of the top level stone had fallen onto the surrounding area."Glad that they've kept up with the grounds," Eldantios muttered as he neared the doors. The usual chains surrounded the doors. This time, there was a blue-glowing lock holding them together.Eldantios stared down at the lock curiously, "The hell?" After several attempts to unlock, the final of which included screeching at the menacing lock, Eldantios, with a scowl on his face, began to climb the tower wall, using the missing bricks as foot and handholds. "Damn it!" Eldantios yelled as the bricks footholds and left handhold expanded under his weight. Eldantios was holding on by only his right hand; he decided it would be best to just force his way up at this point. By pulling up with his hand, and leaping toward the top, Eldantios had managed to bring himself to the tower's top.
Eldantios looked down from the tower as he tied a knot around one of the battlements and let the pile of knotted climbing rope sit beside it. Eldantios walked towards the small door with haste and opened it, climbing down the ladder quickly. The hall was pitch black which Eldantios quickly remedied by lighting one of the torches on the wall. He dipped one of his oil-soaked rag arrows into the flame and pulled it back before it was able to engulf the arrow fully. Eldantios then shot the arrow at the hearth located in all of the Hallways, then grinned as the large pile of logs within was engulfed in flame.
As the room lit up, he noticed that the place was more dusty, creepy, and filled with cobwebs than it had been in the past. It looked empty, deserted even as Eldantios peered into the other rooms. He finally came upon his own dwelling and lit the two torches near the doorway. "To hell with it," Eldantios said aloud as he made his decision. Eldantios spent the next hour putting together his things and preparing them for transport. He finally picked up the various bags of books, weapons, and armor that were waiting by the door and headed out for the last time.
As Eldantios made to exit, his eye was drawn to the office of the guild's leader. The nameplate had been changed from "Headmistress Lisabine" to "Headmaster Augent". "The hell?" Eldantios uttered as he stared at the nameplate, confused. He kicked in the doorway only to find the room dustier, and emptier than all of the others. Eldantios, finally able to snoop around in this usually off-limits room rummaged through various documents, including deeds, profiles on various people, and some reports dating from the guild's founding to not long ago.
Then Eldantios grinned, he had an idea. With revenge in mind, Eldantios went through the room, soaking it in the oil he grabbed from near the hearth in the hallway. He continued this task throughout the entire tower, leaving no room untouched. Eldantios escaped out of the top door after climbing the latter, cackling in anticipation. When he reached the overlook, he readied for his escape. Eldantios couldn't contain his laughter as he shot an incendiary arrow down into the tower's heart. He stayed on the top for a few minutes admiring his handiwork before scaling down the side of the tower using the rope he had set earlier. Eldantios loaded his Skeletal Horse with his supplies before moving several hundred yards where he waited for the surprise. It didn't take much time before Eldantios's surprise was revealed. With a loud boom that echoed across Tirisfal Glades, the tower erupted in flames. The fire engulfed the tower, spitting out of every hole and crevice. Before he had left, Eldantios had found the supply of explosives and placed them all in the Master's office, it was his final revenge against his former mistress.
Eldantios cackled as he rode off into the night, the flaming tower lighting his way to the Undercity.
