(( It's been around 2 years since I wrote story so I hope you all enjoy it! I'm a bit rusty with my writing right now. More will be posted soon. Either some time today if not tomorrow! Luptia's journey is just getting started! ))
Luptia was not always the skillful archer she is today. No, she was just a young Gilnean girl who lived with her parents, Letita and Lucian, and her brother, Lanus in a small cottage near Keel Harbor. The Silverfang family had a few successful businesses in Gilneas. Lucian ran a tannary with his son, Lanus. Stitching together the finest leather armor for the Gilnean Guard. He also raised Mastiff warhounds too. Letita was a tailor of beautiful silk clothing and a fine cook! They were a happy family before the Greymane Wall was closed off and the Forsaken started invading Gilneas. But those were simplier times. The small Gilnean family had no idea how their fate would soon play out.
A tall dark haired tan man entered the back shed of the cottage who was accompanied by a grey Mastiff. He carried a load of animal skins on his back dropping them to the ground. He wiped the sweat off his brow as he walked over to the small table in the corner grabbing a bottle of ale. The middle aged man arced his back as he downed the ale quickly before dropping into his seat. The Mastiff nudged her master to be petted. Finishing his ale he petted her. "Good girl, Sasha. We did well today." A knock could be heard at the door.
He sighed to himself "I just sat down..." making his way to the door opening it. "Yes? Who is it?" A Gilnean guard stood in front of the door and nodded to him "Mr. Lucian Silverfang?" The guard asked. Lucian respectfully saluted him "Aye, I'm Lucian Silverfang" He replied. The guard reached into his bags handing Lucian a scroll. "Here are your orders from Lord Genn Greymane." The guard said saluting Lucian back as he turned in formal military fashion to take his leave. The Gilnean guard mounted his mountain horse riding off from the village quickly.
Lucian closed the door behind him walking up to Sasha as he opened the scroll to read it. He took a seat as he read the notice out loud. "Lord Genn Greymane orders you, Craftsmen of Gilneas to craft 100 units of armor for the Gilnean Guard in the up and coming weeks ahead. Make haste with your work gentlemen! We are in dier need of armor!" Lucian growled crushing the paper in his hands. "How does the King expect me to do that?!"
Two months later
Lucian and Lanus had completed the order made by Lord Greymane and continued to fufill more. The Greymane Wall was now closed off from the rest Lordaeron. But the Wall defenses did little in protecting Gilneas from the Undead army rampaging the city. The citizens grew restless and fearful as they were locked inside their own kingdom unable to leave on their own free will.
Lucian grabbed a large bottle of ale. He poured himself a glass slamming the bottle down on the table. He had grown tired of laboring so hard and getting little help in return. Resources in Gilneas were running out quickly. Due to the Forsaken ripping through farms, burning shipments of supplies and killing what little wildlife that roamed around. Lanus and Lucian had been hunting along the country side for any game they could find to feed their family for weeks now. Very little food was found though.
Luptia ran up to her father hugging his arm "Papa! Papa! You're home!" Lucian finished his glass of ale and picked up his daughter hugging her back. He sat her on his lap. He smiled down at her "Hello, my little one. I have great news for you." Seeing his daughter eased Lucian's mind. Luptia smiled brightly at her father saying "Really, Papa? What's the good word?"
Lucian sat her down on the ground and walked over to the corner of the room where Sasha laid on a blanket with a litter of puppies next to her. "Puppies!" Luptia yelled. Letita shushed her daughter in fear the Forsaken would hear them now living down in the cellar of their once home.
Lucian petted Sasha proudly as he said "In a few weeks I'll be training these little guys to fight the undead." Lucian turned to Luptia "So would you like to help me with that?" Lucian asked. Luptia jumped up hugging her father around his neck. "Yes, Papa! I'd like to very much!"
Lucian laughed as he returned the hug "They aren't the only ones who will be trained for combat now. You two will also be trained to fight!" Letita gave a sharp look at her husband not approving of it but saying nothing. Lanus jumped excited saying "Is it true, Father?! You will train us to fight!? With swords and everything?!" Lanus pretend to fight with sword as he said this. Lucian laugh "Aye, you are coming of age, my boy!" He turned to Luptia "And you must start soon as well, my little one. I have big plans for the both of you." Big plans Lucian had indeed for the Silverfang children. Bigger plans then they could ever dream of!
