Elizabeth eyed the clouds with a sad sigh as she pushed her horse down the road towards Darkshire. It had been raining on and off all day, and the woman's cloak was already completely sodden. She hoped the parchments in her saddlebags were still dry, she hadn't spent an hour carefully recopying the notice that had appeared on the board for it to look like trash. A person had to take pride in their skills, and penmanship was the most gentle of the ones she had to offer.
One of her copies had replaced an original on the board in the Trade district, the original itself now being studied at the Watch offices. Another of the copies she now brought to the melancholy town in Duskwood, along with a note from the Watch to the members of the Cabal there.
After the attack on Stormwind grounds no more than a few days prior, the Watch was drawn thin. Liz snorted lightly as she contemplated it all, rushing over the rain swollen stream between the two territories. They were always in this situation it felt like, but even moreso in recent weeks. At least petty crime in the city itself was on a low run, otherwise she was expecting to lose some superior officers to stomach ulcers.
She slowed her horse to a trot at the gate to the town, nodding politely to the militia there. The man nodded back and she dismounted, leading the white gelding the rest of the way. With a greeting to Commander Ebonlocke, she handed her the two rolled up parchments, "First one is a notice off the Boards in the city...seems a fellow by the name of..Pyradin Aorune Fireblade has gone missing in the area. The second," she gestures to the other paper, "Is a notice to the Cabal here about it from us. I would not be surprised if they were able to add a great deal of help to the search."
Althea nodded, "Any of your people coming down to help? Officer..." she raised a brow, and Liz realised she hadn't bothered to introduce herself. Being social was still difficult for her.
"Officer Elizabeth Condrave, apologies. I...am not entirely sure. It will depend on if we have anyone to spare, a few of our patrol routes are already understaffed since we had to pull a number of people back to the city," she gave an apologetic shrug.
The raven haired woman merely nodded, "We heard there was an attack there, these are dark times Officer...for all of us."
Liz sighed and gave a small nod, "Always seems that way doesn't it? Well, I should head back. Light be with you," she gave her a salute and remounted her horse, taking back off up the road, and back to the city.
