Blue eyes flashed open to receive a view of stone work. Her hands slowly grasped out, touching the comfort that she was laying in. ‘A bed?’ The woman thought, noticing how loose her body felt. Caelynne’s eyes shifted, looking to the opening of the cell. Bars lined the open wall, and she saw the two figures in familiar uniforms. She let out a deep breath, her head shifting to look back up to the ceiling. ‘That’s right, Stormwind. They were taking me to the city.’ Hands began to grab on to the sheets on the bed, her body quickly tensing as she began to speak.
“They didn’t come,” the young woman whimpered. “I failed.”
Caelynne’s eyes shut again, tears beginning to run down her cheeks as she began to mutter the mantra under her breath to calm herself, not allowing the panicked thoughts to disturb her anymore. “Order through atrocity. Peace through fear. Faith in Modas il Toralar. Order through atrocity. Peace through fear. Faith in Modas il Toralar. Praise him!”
A smile crept over her lips; the muscles in one of her legs began to spasm. “Perhaps this is his will, their will! Perhaps it is that they desire me to be here and I am to die!” The thoughts disturbed her, as she began to recall the occurrences before she was transferred. She could still see the gnome, spilling the bucket of water so it pooled where she was forced to kneel with her feet and arms bound to the wall. The gnome had held a device, which had emitted small bolts of electricity. He lowered it, closer, and closer to the puddle she was bound in.
Caelynne’s scream echoed in her cell, shooting up in her bed. “I’m a sacrifice! A SACRIFICE! They won’t kill me now! Oh, no.” The woman began to giggle uncontrollably, her body trembling as she pulled her legs up, staring out of the cell in the stockades. “I am dying for them and they will love me for it, but they cannot say it! Oh no. I have no friends anymore, no one left. All I can do is now is to wait. Just wait.” She said to nobody in particular, not caring if anyone heard her anymore.
“Order through atrocity. Peace through fear. Faith in Modas il Toralar. Order through atrocity. Peace through fear. Faith in Modas il Toralar. Order through atrocity. Peace through fear. Faith in Modas il Toralar.” She muttered, continuing to speak the words as her giggling began to stop, her body relaxing as if the mantra was a calming phrase.
