This had to be done, and soon.
Drakehide still had so much work to do...so many things to attend to. There was his work at the tavern, his alliance with the Plunderblood Cartel, his agreement to meet with Ragefang, his participation in a Frogball league...but this had to get done, and this had to come first. He'd been putting this off for far too long, and...frankly, now, he had a good reason to do something with his life other than wandering around as a miserable, ticking timebomb.
There were few individuals Drakehide could think of who could help him with his...unique problem. But one of them were close. Very close, in fact, from when he'd last contacted them. She operated a clinic in Ratchet, for healing wounded civilians. While Drakehide was no civilian...he hoped that she might be able to fix this. Options for qualified surgeons in Ratchet, after all, were...limited...and his time was limited, also.
((OOCly, not going to be around for the next week, Nyn, but you'd mentioned to me previously that you'd wanted to run something along these lines, and I thought this would work nicely given other events in Drakehide's life right now. Basically, the only thing that keeps his heart functional is Aeshi's magic, and because Aeshi is now working with Mia, Mia's got Drakehide's kryptonite. Message me next time you're in-game - I'd like to figure out roughly when this is going to happen, and I'd also like to know whether we're going to need translators or if you'd be okay RealID'ing this. Thanks!))

Throm'ka, miss Lightheart,
When last we corresponded, you mentioned to me that you were operating a neutral healing station in Ratchet. I will speak plainly: I require your assistance, or it is entirely possible that I will die. I have a very specific and...unusual...heart condition, that presents a vulnerability in light of Mialera's constant attacks, and...in light of the presence of a particular new ally of Mialera's.
I have constructed a device that will resolve this problem, and provide me with a failsafe in the event that this vulnerability is ever exploited. What I require is the aid of a skilled healer, specifically a surgeon, to install it. I will also need to be sedated during this procedure...and so I require the assistance of a healer I trust, and I count you most trustworthy after our last conversation. Again, I say that without assistance soon, it is entirely possible I could die.
While I do not believe Aeshi would willingly "pull the plug" on me, or terminate my life...Mialera is powerful, and unpredictable. Right now, without intervention, my days could be MOST numbered.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience. I would be glad to discuss this further with you. Many thanks for your time and your attention.
- Drakehide, son of Mok'Rukh
P.S. Thus far, only one individual other than myself knows of the device I speak of, and its construction. I would prefer it be kept that way.
