Another Wedding Can Only Mean - Stag Party!

Hmmm.

How had this fallen to him? In the days since he had awoken from a long sleep in the Emerald Dream, he had not only had to find a cure for his friend, but had heard of another member of the Guard getting bonded. Not someone he knew well, but he had been asked to plan the groom's stag party anyways. Of course, he did not know the groom, but he had told him this was a venerable Kal'dorei tradition which he should learn of as the Draenei had become staunch allies of the Night Elves. It had, to be fair, been Broodin's idea to threaten to drug the groom.

Things to do:
- Find location
- Acquire food. Mostly stag meat.
- Acquire copious amounts of strong beverage
- Hire entertainment
- Send out the guest list
- Prepare drug... just in case

Location? Hmm... there was always the possibility that any number of old ruins could be claimed for the night. Rumor had it Medivh's old tower had no new inhabitants. Perhaps that would be a place to start.

Food? A trip to Ashenvale should suffice. Perhaps a Guard hunting trip.

Alcohol? Hmmm... delegation is good. Best to set Delver onto that. Dwarves were good at such things.

Entertainment? Now there was a difficulty. It would be better to send out his squire to post advertisements in the major cities. Just to be safe, he would outfit him with an Ebon Sanction tabard. One can never be too careful about image.

The notice (put in all major cities) reads:
"A group of well-paying individuals, seeking to send off a friend into matrimony properly
seeks entertainment of the exotic variety at a party in the friend's honor. It shall be five
hours after the sun reaches its zenith on this upcoming Friday. Those interested are
encouraged to contact Gudvine Stonewhisper of Darnassus. Rates negotiable. Humans,
Draenei, and Elves preferred."

Better yet, make that an AAMS tabard. That wouldn't look odd. And Ragefang wouldn't kill him for that.

Guest list? A few simple notes would take care of that.

Drug? Well, he was an apothecary...

((We are actually looking for entertainment. Feel free to contact Gudvine in game if interested.))

Belpha examines the Hero's Call Board and as he fingers through the many notices, he extracts a Stag Party notice and smirks as he realizes who it is for. He reads through the letter quickly and notes that the entertainment portion of the night was extremely lacking. This could not stand! Belpha took out a pen and paper and began writing a note then and there, much to the dismay of those behind him wishing to look at today's announcements.

Dear Sir Gudvine

It has come to my attention that this "Stag Party" of yours is lacking any true entertainment. Yes, of course the occasional exotic dancer is good fun, but there is absolutely no true form of entertainment as the time honored tradition of Frogball, and with the new frogball season just around the corner, such a match would serve as a way to sharpen one's skills! Of course the final decision is up to you and the groom, just consider it a suggestion from a concerned attendee

P.S. You could always include a "cheerleading" section as well, I mean whatever would suit your fancy

Sincerely,
Belpha "The Hexing King" Lyron

Belpha hands the letter to the gnome he had previously hired for the job of posting the frogball announcements. Not previously known to Belpha, The Gnomish Labor Union required a minimum of a two year contract when hiring gnomes. As much as Belpha would love to be rid of the gnome, having a personal servant was beginning to grow on him. Belpha ordered the gnome, "Take it to Gudvine at once please". The gnome smiled happily and took the letter, the twinkle in his eyes gave Belpha the feeling the gnome would not be returning, Belpha just hoped the letter would get to it's intended recipient.

Jhulina spots a letter tagged to the boards. She looks around, hoping that she's still hidden underneath her demonic shadow bubble, and snatches the post from it's nail. She carefully reads through it with glowing red eyes, then scoffs quite loudly.

"No mention of Blood Elves. Of course."

She crumples the paper into a tight ball, then tosses it over her shoulder. She draws her demonic wings around her and disappears suddenly.

((Wish I could be there, but alas, I am a woman of virtue *cough* and I...uh...have no reason to want to watch you fools dance in circles. Heh))

((To be fair, he never said what sort of elves.))

Gudvine awoke in his quarters after a late night of teaching his new squire in the Guard how to speak Common. He knew that she would learn quickly already. That did not account for those dreams he had, but he would not be speaking of those to anyone. After a moment of lying there, he became aware of a small fist banging against his innroom door. He stumbled to the door and opened to to find the small gnome with a letter and a look pleading 'Don't send me back.' He tipped him enough gold to move his family to the New Tinkertown area should he so desire. As he opened the note and preused it, he realized Toshley's Station was more likely.

He knew Belpha, though not well. He did know very well just what 'The Hexing King' meant, having heard the stories. And something about a hearthstone being fed to a pet frog. There was no reason to go back to bed now with the sun almost up. Instead, he sat at his desk and began to compose a note.

Dear Belpha,

It would be splendid if you were to come. We will be gathering at the gates of Darnassus. I have rented the small area above them for the party.

I think frogball sounds like an excellent idea.

Regards,
Gudvine Stonewhisper
Honor Guard, Pia Presidium

The truth was: he didn't have a clue what frogball was, though already he felt sorry for the poor frog. Belpha was a Draenei like the groom though and no doubt this was an ancient Draenei game. It would be good to include such things. Kaellar would like that for his stag party.

He handed off the message to Stardream, his sprite-dragon friend, asking him to carry it to Belpha. Surely the shaman wouldn't hex a poor, defenseless creature.

Faithe listened to the men talking about the stag party and entertainment. There was a deep sense of foreboding. The last Pia bachelor party had resulted in several Pia men in jail, the groom missing the night before the wedding and a very unhappy dwarf with half a beard. No one seemed to know why half of it was missing and the remaining half was purple, but the groom was located and no one was murdered due to the fact that they were all apparently so drunk no one remembered what the beard incident was. Possibly the concubines in Kara did, but they weren't willing to speak of the party either.

Luckily, they had found the groom before the wedding, beards do grow back and what happens in Kara stays in kara.

Perhaps this bachelor party would be much more...no, it would most likely be a disaster also.

((Out of curiosity, do the "Holy" Guard do anything but drink, fight, ingest drugs, and hire lewd entertainment?
It's honestly the majority of all I've seen from the bunch.
It's somewhere in the 75%+ bracket, to be sure.))

Mira found herself laughing in amusement as she read one of the notices. "Oh dear," the shaman said to herself. "Belpha's going to be laughing about this for weeks. But why is this called a 'stag party'? I'm not sure I understand the humans as well as I thought I did."

She made a mental note to ask someone when she returned to Hearthglen that night. Surely someone would know.
