I utilize TRP2 fairly heavily, so for "full effect" you would need an add-on compatible with it.
For example; in my latest venture I played a part that stalked, so I periodically changed my name in TRP2 to reflect properly in my emotes. Instead of having /me = "Dirtdiver || Someone watches you from the shadows..." I can get /me = "Someone watches you..." or "A shadowy figure stares from the shadows." by changing my character name to "Someone" or "A shadowy figure" via the add-on.
Naturally this won't work well if the other person doesn't utilize a compatible RP add-on.
