((I apologize for not stopping by, Orwyn, but my brain had turned to gelatin by that point after the stupid in LFR, lol...))

A letter is delivered by courier to the precinct house of the Stormwind City Watch, handed off to one of the Watchers at the door. "A missive for Commander Orwyn, from Lord Saavedro."

The message reads:

To Orwyn, Commander, Stormwind City Watch
Headquarters Precinct, Cathedral District

As of two days ago, the fugitive Artimus Devaneaux has been captured by members of the Shadowhowl pack, a worgen militia force answerable to me and my Lordaeron Deathsworn. He is presently being held, under guard by Packleader Zherron and his packmates, in the Stockade here in Stormwind - with respect to your guard forces, they are stretched a tad thin these days, and I did not wish to take any chances. I will give a full accounting after I speak with Zherron further; he has spent the time recovering from wounds sustained in the operation.

I am well aware that Narnicka Stoneheardt demands Artimus' execution as a rogue death knight, and under normal circumstances, I would likely agree with him. But this is a special case; and I must also point out that, despite confusing circumstances, it is still technically a civil matter, not one that should involve the military, as we acted on a civil warrant for his arrest, issued by your office. On top of this, Narnicka's connection to this is purely personal, as stated to Zherron (and relayed by Zherron to me) at the Stoneheardt home in Lakeshire. Narnicka specifically expressed that he had been too "lenient" in matters such as this - one involving Zherron himself, another involving the assassin known as Sathrasa. His emotional state clouds his judgment, and though I am reluctant to dismiss one with his reputation as a detriment, I feel that I must do so in this case.

The charges against Artimus for which he is wanted in Stormwind - the assault against Genevra - are worthy of a slap on the wrist at best, certainly not warranting execution...not even for a death knight. However, there is a matter of a request for extradition by the Kirin Tor of Dalaran, for the far more serious charge of attempted murder of the priestess Nynra Lightheart in the Underbelly of that city several weeks ago. From what I understand of the matter involving Artimus and Genevra, he did not lay a hand on her - merely threatened her with his sword. It is also my understanding that Sepha Gentyl has elected to drop the charges against Artimus regarding an assault against her, that resulted in his current fugitive status. I believe there is insufficient cause to hold him here in Stormwind, and more than sufficient cause to have him extradited to the Violet Hold in Dalaran; the only contact from Dalaran that I know comes to Stormwind on a regular basis is Caro'thel Vendross, an archmage of the Kirin Tor and Knight of the Pia Presidium.

There is a matter I have only revealed to a select few, and cannot reveal in writing. When it is convenient for both of us, I will meet with you at a time and place of your choosing, so that I may reveal everything I know. There is a reason I demanded that Zherron take Artimus alive despite Narnicka's wishes...and as this is a matter of security to this city and the Kingdom of Stormwind, it is only fitting I bring this to your attention as soon as possible.

Gloria Luminatus.
