I'm thinking about making some hordies on this realm, but I'd like to know a few things first.

1) Is there a particular race I might have trouble finding RP with? I know some realms you'll find little outside of belfs and others you'll find plenty of old horde but no belf/forsaken rp.

2) Is horde mainly split up into racial guilds or is it more of a melting pot?

3) Is this server's horde population very rp-pvp driven?

4) Is there RP to be had for characters who aren't involved with combat or heroism (fishermen, scholars, explorers, storytellers, etc)?

5) Is there anything I should know besides looking at the guild listings and joining the ooc channel and realm website ?

1) Not really. There seems to be a fairly good mix of all the races.

2) Melting pot in most cases.

3) There's been quite a few RP-PvP plots, but it's not the only the thing realm is based on.

4) Oh, definitely! AAMS itself is a courier guild. I believe Razortalons is based in mercantile business? So yes. We have our conglomerate of non-combat characters spread out among the guilds, or even in the guild themes themselves.

5) Event listings. Other than that...not that I can think of!

I'm excited to note that the Horde RP events seem to be slowly growing in number on our realm, and that's friggin' awesome. As Yotingo noted, there have been some RP-PvP plots, many of which occurred at my own behest, but which I've since backed off on. We have enough mixture of war and cooperation to keep things interesting, however. For Horde non-combat RP, you couldn't do better than AAMS (the Anytime Anywhere Messenger Service, a staple of Cenarion Circle!) or Homeland (awesome general RP and "Welcome all!" Horde RP guild); the Razortalons have some pretty neat folks in 'em too.

Da Doctas isn't strictly a combat guild, either.

And the Razortalons are something of a hardcore agricultural combine with friends in both high and low places, but that doesn't mean they don't fight. Quite a bit, actually.

...Flambe, you sure you're talking CC? (I get the feeling otherwise, since it says you're on Moon Guard.)

At any rate, The Horde side community I know is rather open and willing to provide advice to RPers. They, or we, I should say, are usually happy to accept new ideas, as far as I know.

As for non-combat or mixed guilds... *coughcough*HOMELAND!*coughcough* Err... but seriously, you got Da Doctas who specialize in medical treatment, AAMS, a nice neutral messenger guild, and again, Homeland, with takes in just about everyone. (We take "Rejects" if your story idea is for some reason shunned)

My only warning, Aumoe... we can get a tad bit nuts around here... might want maggot spray if you make the jump. >.>

Anyway, that's my welcome to the Horde side of things. :)

He can be a tad cranky sometimes, but he's nice enough. I mean, when he's not lighting Hunters on fire. *mutters*

Anyway, they aren't hostile to new ideas, even when they disagree with them. I've spent hours conversing with them in the past, when I had more free time, and I don't think I was insulted even once.

I have, however, been pounced, tackled, hugged and dogpiled on. Keep an eye on those Homelanders. They're crazy.

We have a small but friendly guild that is doing a challenge to level to 85 without dying, and rping the whole way. Some are more into the plots and sub plots, others are just having fun rping together. Here is a link.

1. We have a healthy enough mix of races. Belfs are the most populous, but we have a decent amount of others too, and most are entirely fine with rping with those of other races.

2. Melting pots. We don't have any race specific guilds, really.

3. Nope! Alliance side is actually more RP-PvP driven. While most of the Horde players do actually enjoy PvP, a lot of our mains aren't actually interested in the war. As such, you're more likely to see the Horde doing TB/BGs OOCly while ICly defending and drinking tea rather than burning and pillaging a town. (Or ooc attacks of boredom from alts.)

4. I'd say you can find most of your RP from that, actually! We're far more interested in chatting about things and drinking tea over here than slaying our enemies and blood and honor :) (We're terrible at being savages, aren't we?)

5. A lot of our RP happens at events. We're more likely to be randomly doing a BG or something than idling in a tavern, so a lot of the day to day RP happens over the Hearthstone channel or other channels unless someone actually opts to meet up with someone else.

As for that thing about new ideas, we're entirely open to new ideas - if they're good ones. We just won't hesitate to point out when something is a /bad/ idea. Honesty and bluntness =/= being doodoo heads. We're /more/ than happy to help try and improve said bad idea to be a good one instead, but if someone makes it clear they don't actually care and are throwing lore/ect, then there's no point in helping.

They are terrible savages. Modas, up your game! It's far too tranquil and pleasant around here.

You know...I would like to up the game a bit...and make some interesting rp, evil wise. However my ideas seem tame to Modas, and yes I like to watch the rp happening, and follow the threads avidly.

We have long been around, yesss. Horde goesss up and down in regardsss to pvp eventsss, with sssometimesss long ssspurtsss of inaction followed by sssolid attacksss for weeksss or monthsss, yesss.

Mossst RP here isss now event driven, with sssome random ssstuff thrown in, yesss. A full full time floksss, sssuch asss myssself, are alwaysss in character, even when we are not, yesss. It would not be advisssable to roll a toon and announce you are Deathwing'sss illegitimate love child with Theradrasss, yesss.

We advissse rolling a toon and attending sssome eventsss, to get the feel of thingsss, and join our OOC channelsss, to talk to folksss, yesss. Maybe your RP concept isss new, or hasss been done to death, yesss? Who knowsss, you may find yourssself growing asss an RP character in a very different direction than you had intended, yesss.

For inssstance, when we made Abominusss, we thought we would be a mighty horror upon the land, hated by Alliance and Horde alike, yesss. It didnt quite turn out like that, except maybe for tauren, yesss...

Pay the trolls no mind, ignoring them makes them go away, as they always do.

As for the server, really, just try it for yourself. Horde RP is on the rise, more and more events and more attendance to them. See for yourself! We're a varied bunch, really, and the OOC channels - Raoul included - are filled with good folk with useful opinions and advice for those who're willing to listen.

Quoted for truth. So many Horde characters being opposed to war makes my job as Aziel very difficult.
