Oi, no taking my words out of context!

As an update, the channel is indeed doing very well...The few RBGs we've constructed have been very successful and we've found some talented players that I can already tell will be big hitters in the future.

I and others may start offering to play in arenas to help some get more experience, since that is really what most players lack, skill never seems to be an issue, just experience.

So, I really like the looks of this. I'm fairly new to the server, and while I've been interested in competitive PvP for a while, I could never find people who were willing to take it seriously and not just quit after one loss in arena or RBG's. I'm a decent pvper, but I have not had a group of people to really dissect performance and improve like I've experienced in the raiding community.

I really enjoy doing RBG's but arena is where I probably have the least experience doing it competitively. I'll be checking out the channel and looking at what's going on; I'd certainly like to get involved.

Awesome, this is exactly what I love to see. I'll make sure to keep my eye out for you in CCPvP and get some premades in with you or some RBGs.

Damn Zl, looks like you started something pretty great! Glad this going so well. Nice to see people on CC wanting to get into PvP. Will make things a lot more fun in MoP (Hopefully more people will be into W PvP)

Thanks Achelis, I hope W PvP will become more prominent as well.

Aislinana, have you bothered to join the channel to check it out for yourself? I'm in it and I haven't yet seen anything cringeworthy. Join the channel, if you see something offensive, then come report it here if you really think you must. Of course, please be fair and also report raiders who use the word r*pe if that's your major complaint.

As for helping new people, I've seen several instances of people new to pvp who are not geared asking for help in the channel and someone saying, "Sure, I'll go arena with you."

Frankly, it's refreshing to have a channel for people to go to where people can find groups, help, and advice on pvp.

Join the channel and find out for yourself, then come pass judgment, please.

Well, as you pointed out when I emoted pushing your drake off a quest giver you were parked on and responded with a rant about "old" (derogatory term) on the server who don't have any patience. I am neither young nor a dude.

I'd be more enthused about this if they didn't troll RP threads and make threads that hurt the server's image. CC ain't the place for that bs. We prefer our PVPers to not act like children. I don't care what you say in whispers, channels, or raids to each other in private. Shape up in public if you want anyone to even care, or wind up burning out and losing interest before the expansion even hits.

I'm always willing to give someone a fair shake, and as I occasionally enjoy PvP, and have a spec dedicated to it, I might pop in. I was perhaps unfair to ZI recently in the game, and want to give people a chance to show they're decent (which is typically the default I assume anyway). I'll hop in this evening at some point and talk with folks and see what it's like; I probably won't run any BGs tonight as I have plans to do Raid Finder and some herb farming, but I'm looking for things to keep me occupied while I wait for Mists of Pandaria and work on building up my guild, and this might be a nice diversion.

I spoke to Wubkin about this in Trade Chat and got a pretty unsatisfactory answer.

What are you guys planning on doing to making people comfortable to PVP re: language? PVP culture and PVPers are full of really awful attitudes towards many societally dismissed groups and large swaths of them don't have any problem using denigrating or offensive language.

As a woman, I would not want to go near a large organization of PVPers or PVP matches around a bunch of trash-talking men that fall back on using "r*pe" as a term or any number of sexist/racist/-ist terms as a way of "communicating."

I'm even skeptical of the fact that your guild is called NAACP Gaming. Come on, we're not dumb.

The excuse that "I can't make every stupid kid have good language" is weak. Yes you can. If you police a channel, you can. If you watch what people say in BGs/arena matches, you can. If you want a thriving community full of MORE people, you need to make it comfortable to EVERYONE, not just a select group of young white dudes. And it is your job to moderate it.

Unless that's not actually your goal.

Our channel is open to anyone RPer or not Rage, no one is excluded from our channel. Regardless from Aislinana's assumptions and negative vibes towards the channel, we are here to help you guys with any pvp questions.

I also have a ton of 2200 / 2300 alts if anyone horde side wanna get some teams going for fun (Achelis and Thunder, wanna make a lame hunter enhance // healer team? Bwaha) Just Whisper Pacifika, Vadera, Kijamero or Syk (my new pally, i xfered Sykai)

Oh and you alli out there, expect some small horde groups to take on SW sometime soon ^^ Would be fun to see some of you guys here in Org aswell sometimes! I'll just keep running around outside SW on my own anyway for !@#$s and giggles.

To address the rest of the posts, I am not going to make a wall of text explaining distancing ourselves from every kid that calls them self a pvper.

We do not seek your validation or acceptance, we're here only to help those that want it and can do it without causing this kind of drama.

CCPvP UPDATE: We've already found several talented individuals while doing RBGs, BGs or just personally doing arenas with me when I get bored. We're still looking for more though so /join CCPvP and you'll be a brewmaster in no time.

Exactly. I was agreeing that Ais' concern was valid.

I think the point is that this is a thread to invite people to PvP and be part of that culture; but not going out of our way backwards to cater to people who can't handle the use of the word '@##@' in context.
