So, as an occasional PvPer myself, and having just started gearing my Afflic lock - largely for BGs, world PvP, and TB - do you have any tips for starting with a lock? Possible useful macros, etc?

And what're your thoughts, when it comes to DKs - frost or unholy?

If you're doing 2s, I'd say Blood, to be honest. You aren't doing much in the way of damage output, but you're doing a lot to frustrate your opponents; if you're paired with a stealth-type (Rogue or Feral Druid), you can do some pretty impressive things.

I frequently die, and a lot of that is because I plain suck at competitive play, but still... Blood.

For 3s and beyond, I have no idea.

For 3s as a DK i say unholy is for the most part the best spec, frost can be good in some comps such as melee zerg comps like TSG Trip DPS and rogue/dk in witch you just tunnel a healer or try and get a kill early in the game. If your playing with a ranged class unholy is way better just spam them necrotic strikes all day and something will die.

Affliction locks have a huge amount of useful macros for arena, but as far as World PvP/BGs go I honestly think you're good with just a few focus macros. I'm actually leveling one right now because I was inspired by Maldiva, lol.

Banish/Mouseover Banish:

CoT:

Devour Magic:

I'll have to test out those macros on my lock, and toss around if I wanna arena or not on my DK.

Unholy arena is great. Pair up with a Lock or Hunter in 3s (Yea, Hunter/DK/H Pal makes Snutz cry *cough*) and you're golden.
Spam Necro Strikes, Spread Aids, watch a healer get trapped, and then the hunter kills something in Rapid Fire. (..If only every map were Ring of Valor..)
