She had to give it to the corehound pup- who still didn't have a name, although he'd followed her home nearly a month ago now- he'd certainly managed quite the spectacle. "I leave you alone for five minutes..." Ellua beat at the last of the flames in her workshop emphatically with a towel.
She sighed and looked around. It wasn't a *total* loss, but it was certainly going to take more than the meager funds she had left of her savings to replace her tools and workbench, not to mention the materials for at least a half-dozen odd projects of the mechanical variety. Copper dripped dolefully off the corner of what had been her main bench, melted to a puddle in the accidental blaze.
The paladin crossed her eyes and did her best to glare at the pup, who promptly rolled over and presented his stomach to be patted. "I told you that drool of yours and my toys don't get along well, didn't I?" She knelt to scratch lightly. She couldn't hold it against the little guy, really. Accidents happened, after all, and maybe this was for the best- to get her out of the solitary rut she'd been in for too long.
She stood and stretched, shaking her head. "If I didn't know better, I'd swear someone paid some witch doctor to hex me." Hex. A crooked little grin crossed her features. "Looks like you've finally got a name, little guy. C'mon, Hex. Let's get our stuff and go see if there isn't some work we can find somewhere- although I heard a rumor that demon and ogre bashing don't pay as well as they used to." She heaved the pup up in one hand and headed toward the one-room house she'd been calling home to get her gear and set out to Orgrimmar in the morning.
(Hi all- I've been hoping to find a second home on an active RP server to relax on for a long time. Everything I've seen while poking around over here has given me pretty good vibes, so I decided to jump in and give it a go. Forgive me if I'm a little rusty- it's been a while and things on my main server have been sort of petered out to nothing, sadly. Anyway.. /wave and hope to meet some of you around!)
