Illiidi had finally gotten her raptor, Eneibi, to settle down. He'd chipped a talon earlier in the day and was distraught over it, apparently. The draenei scratched the dozing raptor's nose and hopped out of his pen. She walked across the stable and flopped down on a bale of hay. The night frogs burbled and croaked in the jungle outside. Illiidi thought back to her conversation with Jalou that they'd had a few hours ago over glasses of juice.

The Warden had apparently agreed to mediation of some sort. Maybe they could settle this whole mess once and for all.

"Zhere ees nyet vay eet happen as ze Varden ees sayink," she thought to herself. Her friends weren't unscrupulous assassins or kidnappers! She didn't associate with those types. She laced her fingers behind her head and laid back on the hay, starting to feel a bit sleepy.

"Ve vill hef ze truce ov ze situation out, da.....Yalou, act unvicely, to anger ze High-borne, but, she ees nyet murterer.....Ze Feasserce, ve do nyet do soch sinkce.....Ve are, honest business. Kint people......" Her eyelids grew heavy, and she started to doze.

"Yalou, must nyet vorry......eef Illiidi most escortink her, eferyvhere, zhen, so beink eet!"

Illiidi fell asleep on the hay, miraculously undisturbed for the rest of the night by her unruly flock of pets.

During my time and visit in Booty bay it has always been peaceful enough chatting, drinking and the occasional agreements that take place within Feathers bar. Regardless I have always enjoyed my time there and my tranquility within the Place, the only place where I wouldn’t have anything really to fear from my enemies as well. I took a friend over to the bar one night and things went quit smoothly so far, We enjoyed the quiet evening minding our own business really for the most part.. The person I was with would remain nameless for her safety and security.
The evening was getting late, most people have left and we remained behind for a bit longer, Then Jalou came down and saw me with my friend and she tried to instigate me into fighting with her. Although she had her reasons and which I understood her frustrations. At the time I was currently with someone else but she was having issues concerning her memories in which we had some people wanting me not to restore it, or well modify it to where she would remember everything. In Jalou defense she was simply defending a friend in which I soon understood.
To make this story short it was a simple accident I allowed my anger to get the best of me I blasted her with a spell an arcane blast…A minor spell if you would. It wasn’t aimed for a kill just to knock her down or wound her ‘’ Ego’’ a bit. As she flew against the wall, most the wall fell away and broke Cup and the others there tried to stop Jalou from instigating it further. My friend that evening was also the victim in this situation by Jalous actions. However I do not agree that Jalou should have attacked my date that evening, or said anything bad to her it should have been left between me and her.
I left soon after five seconds later after the attack happened, I did not want to face the results of it at the time. My emotional state was not stable enough my anger clouded my judgment and senses. I admit sometimes this happens to me a lot I have done it in the past, and I regret most of my actions in my past and even now. I know I am not innocent and I know I am not perfect in this situation I should of dealt with it the right way. After I calmed down I approached Jalou and we talked about what happened, she came to my attention about some assassin being sent after her and she thought I had something to do with it.
I want to make this clear I did not send an assassin after anyone and if I wanted to kill someone or injure someone, I’d do it myself face to face I am no coward by any means. So we came to understand that if I were to kill her or attack her I’d do it myself, that this assassin was not of my doing. I believe this court hearing is rather pointless for as I said I should be the one to get the blame and no one else for I allowed my own actions to get the better of me, as a friend said to me every action has it’s consequence, and I paid for it in full… I paid for the damages and all is forgiven on my end..
Understand this may be accurate and it may not but this Is from my point of view and my line of thinking… I just wish this whole mess would end and we can move on to something better. I wish I could be there to speak for the court but I am afraid duty calls and I will be shipped out to Hyjal to defend against the cultists and clean up whatever remains they have left there.

((The distribution of this letter is not public. I intend to post it for reference at the coming arbitration, as it will be submitted there as evidence.

Forgive the form, this is just the way that Verronia does things.))

Special Adviser's Report - Early evening, sixth night of the last quarter. Verronia Fay

Role of the Special Advisor
I, as a special advisor to the Sentinel Army, am charged with giving guidance on specific matters where a precise body of expertise is needed (in my specific case, on matters related to commerce and trade), and with informing appropriate members of the Sentinel Army and affiliated or allied groups of information that comes to my attention.

Type of Report
The following report is intended to convey information that has come to my attention to appropriate members of the Sentinel army and/or affiliated or allied groups, in this case specifically, this report is intended for use by Warden Kyalin Raintree.

Explanatory Note
Please consider that when taking action, due to my proximity to and involvement in the event to be described that my independence is materially impaired.

Basis for opinion(s)
Keyesh Shadowstorm and I had visited the Feathers of Iron tavern and were, not soon after arriving, verbally accosted at length by one Jalou Nightingale. During the exchange, I verified that Ms. Nightingale was a tavern employee from one of the management representatives who attempted to stop her. Following a long period of continued insults of a crass and obscene nature, Mr. Shadowstorm physically attacked Ms. Nightingale, blasting her into a wall and causing a moderate amount of damage to the property. Ms. Nightingale laughed, and drew her attention immediately to a nearby cartel bruiser. Mr. Shadowstorm noticed this movement as well and immediately removed himself from the room by means of an arcane spell. Following the exchange, I left the tavern as well.

Opinion(s)
Based on the facts described above, I have come to the following conclusions.
1. Management was not complicit in Ms. Nightingale's actions.
2. Ms. Nightingale was attempting to arouse anger in myself and in Mr. Shadowstorm.
3. Mr. Shadowstorm suffered a momentary loss of control as a result of Ms. Nightingale being successful in arousing anger in him.
4. Ms. Nightingale expected Mr. Shadowstorm and/or myself to suffer that momentary loss of control, and as a result, have appropriate action taken against him and/or me on the part of the Steamwheedle Cartel Bruiser.

Recommended Course of Action
Based on opinions listed above and the evidence on which they are based, it is my assessment that Ms. Nightingale is a threat. I do not advise sharing this report with cartel officials, as it is unlikely that they will act upon it without considerable "grease" payments. However, as stated in opinion 1, management was not complicit in Ms. Nightingale's actions, and will likely hand her over to your custody if you should request it.

I declare, under the pain of imprisonment, that the explanations, facts, and representations detailed above are, to the best of my knowledge, representative of the truth and reasonably free from material error, omission, or misstatement.
Signed,
-Verronia Fay

The following is an addendum to the previously issued travel advisory for Darnassian Citizens:

The first case of the activities described in the advisory has been resolved, resulting in the apprehension and subsequent imprisonment of the subject. This is notable because extradition was accomplished through eastern mechanisms of law, demonstrating firmly that nations under statute based systems cannot be used as shelter for committing hostile acts against the Kaldorei.

While I will pursue remaining and future acts of incitement, this notice should not be taken as license to give in to the inciter. If you encounter an individual who is attempting to attack you in this manner, it remains your responsibility to bring the matter to the relevant authorities instead of taking direct action yourself. If you are visiting foreign lands, it is furthermore your responsibility to know the local laws beforehand.

I must finally add that during the aforementioned arbitration, that facts became apparent to support the notion of the belligerent using the law in a nonlethal manner to harm the target. While I had accepted this as a possibility, the original notice erroneously implied an assassination attempt, and I apologize for the lack of clarity.

Epilogue:

A tattered notice blew past her face as the sentinels swarmed the open, two-leveled building in the Craftsmen's terrace, but in all of the noise, the target woke. A hairy-black blur flew from the second floor, landing on another rooftop before it bounded off. The worgen was no stranger to narrow escapes, but then, neither was the Warden.

Four hippogryph riders gave chase, and as if on queue, Kalil'shae brought Kyalin airborne as well. The worgen tore into the tradesmen's terrace, weaving through crowds of people that had filled the streets in the early-morning hours. Kyalin knew that the sentinels could get off clear shots, but she had instructed them earlier not to. To them it was the same old nonsense: she wanted to bring him in alive.

The worgen made a sharp right turn. Ordinarily, a wall of roots and branches may have deterred a criminal here, but up them he climbed, using his unnatural advantage to move further into Teldrassil. The Warden's assistance was deterred, the speed of the chase rendering them unable to weave through the branches as she did, her eyes unerring on the target, instead of the two worgen hiding in the branches on either side for but a split second before they pulled a rope taught in front of her.

She caught the rope, or the rope caught her, and perhaps the two worgen who had attempted to stop her didn't consider this just before they found themselves tumbling down through the branches themselves, but it was enough to send the Warden tumbling down as well. She fell into a small clearing, soon joined by her once-prey, and apparently, about fifteen of his friends.

Plucking a smoldering cigar out of his mouth, a well-dressed one took prominence among the pack. She'd seen him before: a former criminal who she had tried to rehabilitate, a man who was never too far away from her scrutiny, or at least she thought. She had been cordial to this man, respectful to this man. She thought she had made progress, clearly she was wrong.

"Do leave her alive, boys." He said, grinning. There was a disconcerting chuckle echoing through the forest. The Warden felt a fear that she hadn't felt in several years, like she had in Nendis when the Myrmidion's trident had cut right through her armor. But it was the bubbling fury that soon took over as her mind raced through dozens of conversations, objections from petulant outlanders, idle threats that would have been met with a slash across the face but a few years ago, bending over backwards to accommodate, to be fair, and of course, the blood covered cell from earlier in the evening.

She gripped the edge of her cloak, allowing the daggers that had poorly - yet intentionally so - been sewn to the hem to flare out, but the warning went unheeded. She whirled around, allowing the knives to detach and fly out in every direction, catching many of the advancing worgen in multiple places as she gripped her umbra crescent for the first arc. Ten seconds later, the gang had been decimated, and she set her eyes on the ringleader.

Never again, she told herself, would outlanders walk over her. There would be no more appeasement to their methods, their customs or their protests of "fairness" or process.

Her eyes locked with those of the terrified worgen at the other end of the clearing as her comrades swept in from the canopy, finally having caught up. Her hand tightened around the grip of her crescent as the worgen nervously drew his own sword. He held it out for a few moments, trembling terribly, but looking as if he were ready to attack.

Kyalin raised a brow. "Ash falah no?"

The gang's leader dropped his sword, raising his hands above his head.

Epilogue II:

From the journal of Jalou Nightingale:

For the act of abusing law for personal gain, and imprisoning me falsely as such, she will pay.
For her horrid acts against me, and for every other man and woman she's wronged the same, she will pay.

I’ve come to reconsider my vow of bloody revenge, or rather, the severity of my actions to come. Unlike some, I know true justice, and shall abide by it. Roughly one year ago, Scary, Hairy, and Sandy, met their ends; two of which at my hands. They paid for their crimes, blood for blood, I reflect, and for this, reconsider the Warden’s punishment.

I had sworn one death per day of unjust imprisonment, as I was taken into her dominion. She desired a criminal, a killer, and I could give her such. If she wished to see the effects of imprisoning an innocent, I would show her. To let her find a pile of gored Darnassians would do nicely; perhaps have them walking again after death, for added effect. Again, though, I have come to reconsider. This course of action would not be direct enough. The Warden herself would remain unharmed, and would not know the true meaning of my actions. There should be no blood spilt but her own.

I await her next actions. This sudden release from imprisonment, for reasons already posed to her, time and time again, by many a person, made no sense. Most likely, she would spread word she had not granted release, but rather, that I had escaped. So be it.

More hopefully, she saw logic at last. I would have escaped before my sentence was complete anyhow, by force, and the longer I would have stayed, the more severe her punishment would have come. Perhaps she came to realize this, and chose to surrender.

My own actions shall not, for they ought not to, be taken immediately. In time, I shall have an appropriate punishment chosen for her crimes, and I shall put it into motion. Perhaps I’ll cut off her precious toes.

I shant have my revenge today. I shant have my revenge tomorrow. In time, however, all shall be made right. I shall suffer no injustice in the false guise of law, and merely shrug it off.

An eye for an eye, an eye for a tooth.

The entry is complimented by what is either a depiction of an elven woman being hung, or an oil rig. She really is a terrible artist.

No matter what he did, no matter how hard he tries he knew it would never be good enough. He admitted to his own fault and deeds upon attacking Jalou yes he lost control of his anger and he regretted his actions since, he even went up to her and apologized for it. Even went as far as offering to pay for the repairs upon the wall and in hopes he could be forgiven, then Kyalin freaks out on the whole situation accusing Feathers of Proxy attacks on Keyesh and not seeing the whole truth or the whole ‘’Picture’’ The stress of this conflict grew by the day and perhaps grew into weeks.

He was angry because she brought up what happened at the bar and knowing he was responsible for his own actions and not the actions upon other people. He was angry how she used that incident on her case that day and even angrier to learn that he was possible used as a scapegoat. He told her before the events to stop this madness several times before something bad happens and they cross a threshold they don’t want to be in.

He sat there listened in the court and was called upon to stand trial and things started to go downhill for him during that time, he tried to explain everything but they never wanted to hear the explanation it was a simple ‘’Yes’’ or ‘’ No’’ answer, and so he gave those answers and at the same time he thought the questions were rather pointless questions that didn’t involve the case at all. Upon his impression on arriving at the whole fiasco

he assumed perhaps like everyone else that the case was between Kyalin and Jalou and in which case he soon discovered how the tables have turned around as he entered. Instead of the case becoming about the two of them it turned around and was pointed towards him.
Keyesh was not happy during the proceedings and questionings, he gritted his teeth, he tried to though he lashed out at some people who tried to talk smack towards him.

After a while he got fed up with the hearing got tired of hearing his name being thrown into the conversation, he felt that he was used as a scapegoat during the whole event by the warden. After he left midway during the court hearing, clearly angry about what has happened the simple fact she can’t simply let it go on what happened the night during what happened at the Bar in Feathers. He tried to tell her several times before that he has straightened out the issues between him and Jalou.

The following day as he awaken he gets word that Jalou has lost the case, he sighs heavily as he stared upon the ceiling of his home in Darnassus ‘’ Great ‘’ he thought to himself more drama. He got up from his bed to put his cloths on and put on his weapons. He marched towards Kyalin knowing who be behind it and as they talked he told Kyalin again that he and Jalou worked out there issues, and the fact that he felt he was more used as a scapegoat and he did not like that at all.

he asked her directly upon her eyes if he was being used as a pawn for her case and she admitted it and that set him off on the edge and upon his heels.
He demanded of her to release Jalou and how he felt the court hearing was pointless and stupid, and told her how he felt how she was using the law for her own ends and doing the very thing she is against others doing. He was not happy with her then, because of her actions and thus his own they created enemies and created waves that shouldn’t have been created in the first place. So after talking to Kyalin he finally got her to release Jalou from Prison and to free her and upon freeing her, the only thanks he gotten was the fact he was banned from the only place he felt some welcome in. He was upset about the banishment clearly, as the girl warned him not to show up there…

The tables seem to turn against him at this very point and time as he considered his next options he would have to fix this situation he thought to himself, make them see that this was a huge misunderstanding. At least he felt that way but he knew the others wouldn’t think in those terms and he knew then that this is going to be one long week….

((Uber-long epilogue! Continued!))

"Hey, hey. What did I tell you?" Verronia demanded, pointing to an open ledger in front of a clueless looking fellow bank-employee. "No write offs until you get approval. They're going to review it at the end of the week, and then demand the attached approval. You don't have one, you'll have sentinels combing your house the next day. Get rid of that."

"Sorry! Sorry!" The other employee said as she crossed out the entry.

"Now, what were you saying about those transfers?"

"I-I just thought it might be something that you might want to bring to your friend, the Warden? I mean, you said you processed over two-thousand transfers in the past few weeks?"

Verronia nodded. "All small amounts between people here and relatives abroad yes. It does strike me as kind of odd, yes. But there is a lot of worry right now with what the Horde fleets have been doing. A lot of people are worried."

"Don't you think you should bring it to her though? And all of those disappearances?"

"I know, I know. The problem is, I haven't been able to get in contact with her. I don't even know where she is."

"What do you mean? She's just?"

"Gone, yes." Verronia nodded. "Not in the temple for her evening prayers, never in the Barrows either. Her family doesn't even know where she went, and the sentinels have been less than helpful... She seemed, frustrated the last time I saw her, I didn't want to ask her about it."

"But... why didn't you!?" The other employee pressed. "This is important!"

Verronia shook her head. "Reena, I'm hearing you. I agree, but you don't know what you're talking about. A warden doesn't hang out with bankers, she doesn't talk cordially with people, she doesn't try to bring people together or hold public events where she asks others' opinion. She doesn't make deals, she doesn't capitulate, she doesn't agree to arbitrations, she doesn't have limits to what she will do, and she doesn't show mercy. Warden Raintree has been the only exception to this for some time, yes, that's true, but she is still a Warden... and I don't want to anger her, especially now.
