Adiria sat on the steps of the Keep, watching the fountain spurt water up into the air and listening as the water came crashing down. She could see several fish circling the bottom of the fountain and her mouth watered heavily. Focus! She thought to herself. The steps were pretty clear this time of day, given the new excitement about the curious creatures wandering Stormwind, and for that she was glad. Adiria pulled out a dagger and began to twirl it in her hand. They're late. AGAIN. Just as the thought crossed her mind, she heard the soft tinking of plate armor rubbing together. She looked up to see a female running toward her, a scroll in her hand. Adiria hung her head. So much for discretion. As the human approached her, she rose from her seat on the steps.
"You're late." She said icily.
"S-sorry...mis-, eh, misunderstanding." The woman replied.
Adiria snatched the scroll from the woman and inspected it quickly. "I trust that everything is here?"
"Of course." The woman tucked her hair behind her ear as she watched Adiria eagerly.
Adiria nodded. "Off you go then." She grabbed the woman's arm. "And next time....DON'T be late."
The human nodded quickly and ran off. Adiria pulled a leather strap from her bags and lashed the scroll to her leg. She shifted to the form of a great purple bird and quickly took flight before anyone saw her. Flying toward the docks, she scanned the skies and dodged a gryphon as it flew past. Upon her arrival, Adiria returned to her elven form and nodded to the dock workers as she walked past. The ship she had taken quarters on hadn't left yet, excellent. She broke into a jog and ran up the gangplank and down into the cabins. She entered hers and shut the door with a snap.
Adiria removed the leather strap from her leg and tossed it on the table. She unfurled the scroll, careful not to smudge the writing. She placed the parchment on the table with a few paperweights and lit a nearby lantern. As she scanned the scroll with her eyes, a smile began to spread on her face. Perfection! She thought to herself.
It was a map. A map of an abandoned factory, marked and adjusted to the specifications she had made. Places for machines had been marked, and Adiria nodded to herself. She had to notify the others.
