<The Netherforged> is currently in a state of open recruitment for both social membership and raid backups.
Who we are: The core, active membership of the guild consists mainly of folks in their mid-late 20s/early 30s, with a fair few in their upper 30s and 40s. As you might expect from the older age profile, we're a fairly mature, laid-back and easygoing bunch. We like a joke around discuss various topics, in addition to forming groups and starting events on the fly when enough people are online.
We're looking for people who fit into that similar vein: A little older, mature and easygoing. We do not accept players under 18 years of age unless you demonstrate exceptional maturity for your age (in fact, under 21 is probably iffy). We're not huge fans of drama and childish antics, which teenage players are, unfortunately, quite prone to.
Social members enjoy the benefits of easy pick-up groups in addition to large access to our "Anything Goes" bank tab and limited access to the cloth tab. (The remaining profession-specific bank tabs are access-restricted to active raiders, but that doesn't mean you can't ask for something in them!)
For prospective raiders, all we ask is that you put forth a solid effort to maintain and improve your gear sets for both your specs. Enchants are provided free of charge (all we ask is that BoE greens go into the enchanting tab if you would vendor them otherwise!). Gems are also usually provided to prospective raiders by our generous guild JCers. I myself provide glyphs to anyone who asks (although asking me for ALL the glyphs for a specific class might cost you!).
We raid twice a week (currently): Tues/Thurs from 6:30pm to 9:30pm server time. We make reasonable progression (Tier 14 saw us to 6/6 4/6 0/4, mostly because we missed the first six weeks of progression lacking a reliable tank). We finished Cataclysm at 6/8 H DS. We don't have any permanent spots available but any raid member who is adequately geared may serve as a backup. :) Additionally, there has been talk of forming a second raid, assuming we have enough interest.
