Looking for a Guild [Horde / RP]

The warrior stretched out with a soft groan, feeling that delicious ache in every muscle of his body. A bone popped back into place and for a brief moment he remembered his body was nothing more than a corpse waiting to decay into nothingness. But all those thoughts were forgotten when he felt the warm body lying next to him and he found himself grinning happily. With care one would not attribute a warrior of his type, he untangled himself from his bedsheets and slipped out of bed, putting on a pair of unusually brightly colored slippers on as he shuffled silently across the room to the kitchen.

It did not take long until the smell of bacon and eggs spread back towards the bedroom, stirring her out of a deep restful slumber. She sat up slowly, holding the sheet to herself to fight off the morning chill and glanced around. A small smile spread to her lips and she slipped out of bed, tossing on a robe and moving quickly across the cold floor. As she entered the kitchen, she saw the forsaken busy on the stove, cooking up a rather hearty breakfast. She watched his half-naked form appreciatively before her brows creased in a deep frown.

"Stefan..."

He glanced over his shoulder with a wolfish grin, "Good morning dear, you're just on time." He pulled out a plate and started preparing her breakfast.

"Stefan." Her tone held a note of warning and she all but tapped her foot to the ground.

"Hmm?" He flipped a cleaning towel on his shoulder and placed a plate of warm food on the table for her, "Breakfast is served."

"Are those my slippers?"

He paused and glanced down at the pink fuzzy slippers he was wearing. "Yes?"

She simply looked at him, arms crossed over her chest.

"But the floor was cold."

"I am very aware."

He glanced down at her feet, noticing the way she moved from one to another to avoid getting them too cold, the motion simple but a clear statement of her speed and agility. "Well then I suggest you sit down quickly, you won't be cold that way." He winked at her and went to prepare his own plate.

"...you're lucky I'm hungry."

"I'm sure." The way he grinned and spoke made her almost blush, but she took at seat as suggested and started digging into the food.

"So long as I get the slippers back..."

He sat down across her and snickered, "But I like how they feel."

"And look?"

"Hey, I'm man enough to wear pink fuzzy slippers."

"And dresses."

"I still say I look better than Raoul."

"No one does."

"I do."

"If you say so dear." She hid her grin as she went back to eating and pretended the warrior across her was not attempting to pout at her.

She was soon done with her meal and pushed the plate aside with a satisfied sigh. "Ok so maybe I was a little hungry."

He had the decency not to comment as he took the plate away and tossed it in the sink along with his. "So dear, what do you want to do today?"

"You know, I've no idea."

He nodded at that, resting against the kitchen counter as he looked at her. She turned in the chair to look back at him, a pensive expression on her face. "Nuna is in school, we can't go over quite yet... I have nothing pressing to do..."

"I have nothing either. And nowhere to go really. I mean we could waltz back in..." He didn't bother to finish the sentence at the expression on her face and instead tapped his chin. "How about we waltz in somewhere else?"

She looked at him quizzically, "Anywhere specific in mind..."

"No. But.. who says we can't go anywhere we want."

She thought about it for a moment, toying with the idea before smiling slowly. "We are free to do as we please..."

The concept was almost foreign, even after a bit over a month of time just to themselves.

"And nothing, and no one, is stopping us from visiting a few places until we find the perfect one..." He finished the thought for her. Both grinned at the idea and it was quickly settled.

The two of them spent the rest of the morning talking the plan out, making list of guild houses to visit, which ones to avoid and other technicalities. By the end of the day all major towns saw the appearance of a short flyer.

It read:

Looking for home.

Mercenary bastard of a warrior and rogue priestess to keep him under leash. We will make every effort to follow the rules established by the House, assist and protect as needed, with the understanding that we will not betray who we are and change our behaviors and persona.

For political reasons, we regret to say we cannot join certain guilds such as Modas Il Toralar, Alterac University, Wardens of Ysera and Homeland. We regret this as we bear no ill-will towards the leaders of these groups, but past connections would make our presence in these specific guilds more trouble than we care to bring at the moment. Should the political winds change, this list will be revised.

We have no requirements for a guild, and are eager to visit lesser known groups. We however make no promises we will stay permanently but will we be fully and personally involved with all guild affairs, as expected and allowed of us.

If interested, please contact Stefan Pyrak or Alleanda Bloodmorn, or add a note to this flyer. References can be obtained from any active member of the horde, the Monday Tavern, the Clinic, leaders and members of the above mentioned guild, AAMS and (if needed) Ehlina Vargas.

(( OOC notes:

As detailed, Pyrak and Alleanda are looking for a guild to join. Before anyone comes to the wrong conclusions, the aforementioned "political reasons" are purely IC, and really are because the pair have spent a lot of time in those guilds/with members of those guilds, know everyone there, and are instead looking to diversify and expand their networks. We, the players, see this as an opportunity to meet new people, and possibly help smaller guilds or unknown ones. Whether or not they remain in the guild will be entirely dependent on IC events and how they feel, but we promise to remain at the minimum a month. We also have not yet leveled to 85, so we will help raise guild perks for those who do not have a substantial enough roster to raise it high. We will however not commit to raiding, but dungeons are fair game. And obviously, we RP.

I look forward to seeing what trouble Pyrak can cause, and whom we will get to meet. If interested in hosting the pair contact us in game or here.))

A large skinny cat slunk through the slums of Orgrimmar, her spotted fur matted and filthy with myriad scars showing through. A long, half-healed slash on her right haunch shortened her stride. Her yellow eyes watched the activity in the streets narrowly. A blood elf with the staring eyes and unsteady hands of a thistle-addict looking for his next fix kicked at her half-heartedly and she shied down an alley with a low snarl. At the next corner, she hunkered down while a crowd of younglings careened down the road after a ball, high young voices raised in half a dozen languages at once. A small troll-girl straggled behind the crowd. She spied the cat crouched in the shadows and stopped to look.

“Why joo in de shadows kitteh? Shadow-kitteh?” The girl giggled to herself.

The cat stared at her impassively, ears twitching. The troll-girl moved closer, beads and small bones clacking in her turquoise braids.

“Joo hungreh kitteh?”

The cat couldn’t help herself. Her stomach growled. It had been a long time since her last meal, a rabbit as scrawny as herself.

The girl giggled again. “Here. Joo ‘ave dis. Mama giv’ meh more!”

She laid a warm crab-bun wrapped in a scrap of paper on the ground, watched the cat for a moment, then scampered off to find her friends.

The cat sniffed the offering carefully. Hunger won over caution and she snatched it back into the shadows, devouring it neatly. As she held the paper down to lick up the last crumbs, two names caught her eye.

Stefan Pyrak. Alleanda Bloodmorn.

So those two had survived the Cataclysm. She shouldn’t have been surprised. They were survivors. Also the closest thing she had to family anymore.

Perhaps a visit was in order.

Yes. Time she let people know she was alive.

The cat smiled in the shadows.

Taawni Grassrunner was back.

((I would both laugh and cry if Py switched factions. Also, yes I am back semi-permanently to the game.))

The pair were resting comfortably outside the small hut overlooking Red Rocks, comfortably huddled under warm blankets to avoid the morning dew. The cool morning air was quiet, and a majestic sunset slowly crested the horizon. And aside from the occasional wandering traveler, they were quite alone. If anything, the morning rounded up very nicely what had been an entertaining yet tiring night.

The Clinic had lived up to it's reputation of old, a place to meet the most random people you did not expect to see, watch a brawl or two, listen to outrageous comments and illnesses and wonder once again about the sanity of the Horde and why they even bothered to try and heal. All in all, a great place to start looking for their new home. And even just a short stay had already gotten them two bites.

"So what do you think my little Lounge Bunny?" Pyrak teased as he gazed out, making sure not to turn his gaze on the elf.
She laughed at that, the sound ringing through the quiet morning, "That was special."
"The great and mighty Stefan Pyrak... a food tinkerer. And you just another Lounge Bunny without even a prey in sight." He smirked, shaking his head at the mere thought. This was about as far from who they were as the pair could get, yet why not?

"You wouldn't last a week before they kicked you out."
"What! I can experiment in kitchens very well thankyouverymuch!"
"Sugar, I highly doubt he meant that kind of experiments."
"But I had a great cow joke to throw in..."
She laughed again, barely managing to get a "I'm sure" out between breaths. He simply grinned victoriously.

"What about the Docs?"
"Well it's a given." She said once she had settled back down, "But it's also expected and 'safe'".
"You're not the one banned from half the buildings."
"Please, you wouldn't want it any other way."
"Fair enough." He winked playfully at her. "Still, I have but one worry there..."
"Hmm?" She stretched out and slipped out from the under the blanket to walk out to the edge of the cliff.
"Everything starts with the Doctas. Going back to the source... what are the odds it will come back again?"

She shrugged, "No sense in worrying about it now."
"True. Did you see King? He looked rather well..."
"Not getting a man-crush on me are you sugar?"
"I like a challenge, but I'm not touching that one. I'm not taking the wrath of Homeland and the Wardens together."
She muttered something under her breath and he simply grinned, having a very good idea what she was referring to. "So," he added to change the subject, "What will we tell our little goblin friend? Are you ready to be a Lounge Bunny? Or shall we see what else is around for us?"
