So today I did some thinking and reading and I believe it is my time to go. I'm not enjoying my time in the World of Warcraft. Cataclysm just isn't working for me for a few reasons, which I'm about to announce.
-None of my real life friends continued to play after WotLK for many reasons of losing gear, or other games, or for one guy getting married. Sure we stay in contact other ways, but our true passion for gaming together isn't there anymore.
-For 3 months now I've done nothing but dungeons and daily quests. Im tired of it all. I'm exalted with all the Cata factions already, got all my cooking done, and still working on my Jewlcrafting, but its not like I use it besides myself. I love achievements and I've jumped up 3.2k from Cata, but those were pretty much give aways.
-I'm without a guild that wants me to heal them. You may of seen my previous post trying to find a group that wanted me, but I only got 1 true response from Frequent Sudden Urges, however I'm not going to play anymore. I don't want to do anything else besides healing. Its my passion, I love doing it. For whatever reason I had all the healing jobs I wanted in WotLK but when I came back from a break between expansions, everyone had their own tight nit clicks which I was not invited to.
With that being said, I have not turned my back on the world of Azeroth and I never will. I love the story, the history, and how this fictional world continues to age as if it was real. I will continue to read the books, and maybe even play a game of Warcraft III for nostalgia once in a blue moon, but the online video game aspect of it is not working out. I'm going to go play Rift now and try out the 30 gametime I have. If all goes well I will be healing my way through Rift just fine. I think I'll be a human because everyone else is purple or a midget.
In the words of Rongar but not quoted since I cant remember, something about icecream and even your favorite gets boring after too many times so, Its my time to leave. And no, my gear is not up for grabs! I know someone is going to ask, but I need it in case I come back. I suppose my one story and attempt at RP was my first and last now.
