Dear SoE Brothers and Sisters,

With the arrival of my new daughter on June 17, I have retired from raiding for the next few months, but I am very curious to hear your impressions of the new raid: the environment, the trash, the bosses, the look of the loot, the general feel, etc. Please post your thoughts and triumphs!

Firelands is Blizzard's response to people who complained about ToC.

Ultimately though, I think it's pretty cool thus far. There are some interesting "gimmicks" on the first few bosses that keep it new and exciting, but at the same time aren't so far from the norm that you get shell-shocked.

On a related topic, does anyone know how high you can take Avengers of Hyjal rep by farming trash alone? Can you obtain exalted or do you stop one point short?

I think you can farm up through Honored? It's either that or revered, and then the rep goes Hydraxian Waterlords on us and is boss kills only

All trash gives rep up to 2999/3000. (one point from honoured).

Big scary trash gives rep up to 5999/6000 (one point from revered). I think.
