Alex strode around the city of Stormwind slowly, she had just dropped off her armor to get repaired and she was now looking for someone who made paint. She had first lived in the city ever since her shipwreck and so many things had changed. She shifted in the saddle of her hippogryph, this was why she hated dresses, side saddle was never fun but the chimera knew her well. She nodded to one of the guards as they passed each other then readjusted her mask.
" Left " the voice in her head echoes.
She looks to her left at the tiny shop, an old greying woman smiling up at her "Evening Beatris" Alex says brightly. The old woman regards her with a bright smile and eyes "Were you able to get my order?" the old woman nods and with a shaky had points to the corner of the room where a few buckets of paint sit. Alex looks at it for a moment then turns back to the old woman, her eyes soft as she pulls out a bundle from her bag, a few gold coins tied to two loaves of bread "I wish I could have done more, I will be back next week to check on you." the old woman smiles and takes the bread gratefully. As Alex walks out the door with her paint she looks up at the sky.
" Still too early. " the other voice washes through her mind.
She once again saddles up and rides around the city a while longer, stopping here and there to grab a few things, before stopping into another shop and grabbing six candles. At the next stop she grabs a board and some nails before making her way over to the mage district. She carefully slid off of the creature and takes the supplies into the Recluse before looking up.
"Still to early right?" she says in her mind " Right " both voices resound at once. She wanders around the city for a while stoping here and there, going to the places no one wants to think about to trade a few goods before she returns later in the day. As she enters the bar she eyes Kordrion and Noikona.
"Afternoon you two." She nods as she walks behind the counter. Kordrion nods to her as she picks up a mug.
"Afternoon Alex." Noikona says.
"How have you two been?" She looks between the two, Kordrion remaining silent.
"Considering how today is, better." Noikona says from the other side of the bar.
"Oh?" Alex looks up questioningly as she cleans the mug.
"Aye, didn't really tell anyone where I was going last week." Noikona says as the mug sweeks in Alex's hand.
"Ahh, alone time is always nice." at this time Azheira enters the establishment "Afternoon Ash." Alex says as she sets down the mug.
"Afternoon all" the woman responds, the conversations continue for a while before Alex looks around for something to do. Grabbing the paint buckets from under the counter she heads to the front of the building. She opens each can and takes her paint bush, eyeing the wall carefully before painting a large sqare of white. At this point in time Slithengar walks up. Alex glances over as she paints before nodding. She leans back and eyes her work as the man stops.
"Afternoon Sir." Alex says, putting the end of the brush against her chin, getting paint on her mask.
"Sir? What no Slith any more?"
Alex looks over recognizing Slithengar before looking back "Sorry, I didn't recognize you at first" she mumbles before putting some blue paint over the white.
"What are you doing?" He eyes the paint on the wall.
Alex looks over and grins before adding a darker blue "You'll see." she then grabs some green and brown as Slith walks inside. She turns around looking at her surroundings behind her then paints the scene, making sure its very light so it looks like a reflection instead. She steps back proudly eyeing her work. It looks like a window but with the glass all wavy so everything is distorted. The hippogryph comes up behind her end eyes the painting before huffing softly.
"Oh shoosh you, its not -that- bad." she puts her hands on her hips before taking the paint inside and setting it on the other side of the wall. Afterwards she goes and grabs the wooden board, nails and candles. As she was hammering the board up near the ceiling, not high enough that the building could catch on fire but not too low either, Azhiera and the other came down the hall.
"What are you doing Alex?" Ash asked, Alex looked over and hit her thumb with the hammer. After stepping down Alex grinned.
"Making a window." She them motioned Ash outside and showed her the complete side. "See, everyone wanted a window, so they get a window." She smiled afterwards Noikona joined them and also saw the wall mural. Alex then went inside and finished the other side, again it looked like the glass had waves in it so it was a bit warped. She stepped back and grinned slightly.
