Creativity is what inspires me. There have been a lot of interesting RP stories and events that I’ve been able to watch from the forums. Arjah spent time in the starting zones lending generosity to new players and encouraging RP. Imperon started a story that got everyone involved in a search for a powerful artifact. Lurial put a new spin on RP trials by making the entire audience the jury. Ehlina went through a rampage at the loss of her adopted daughter. And last, but not least, Aziel returned and was resurrected as a death knight.

All of these stories fascinated me. They made me proud to see that creativity lives on. I am sure this RP is only a selected few lucky enough to get major recognition. There are even more that were probably missed from the spotlight. If so, I would love to hear about these stories too.

When I left, I thought I had done everything needed to leave in my own personal way. Other players wanted more and I am grateful for it. I agreed to help write the final RP we did. It wasn’t because I wanted recognition for myself. It was because I wanted to recognize everything that goes on here at this server and the creativity you, the players, gave to become involved.

So we began a write up. Only, at some point in the two years I helped write this, it changed to something more. It got long and I think it’s safe to say, that it’s a novel now.

I really wanted to get this out before Cataclysm came out. A lot of the players involved in this story who probably left WoW are just now coming back. Of course, the expansion will be keeping everyone busy (except me), so there will probably be very little time to read a story as long as The Dream (188 pages).

Eventually you’ll reach a max level though. Like all expansions, you’ll have run out of things to do and may start thinking of RP during that down time. Perhaps you’ll have saved the pdf file ahead of time. If that does happen, I hope you have it lying around so that you can give it a read. I know it will be worth it.

I wish everyone the best in their future adventures; especially the players whose names are mentioned in this story. To them I want to give special thanks.

Here are all the players’ names. Feel free to search for them and skip around in the story to see how they were involved. If anyone has gone through a name change but is still playing the same character, you can let me know and I’ll change it. Or if you just want to help with it, let me know that too. This is only the 1st Edition and I can make updates when needed.

So that's what all those questions have been about!

Downloaded and read it. Have to say it was pretty damn accurate to everything that actually happened in game. I'd forgotten almost all of it. Nice to see it. Thanks Calei

Thanks Ehlina. I'm glad you are happy with it.

Hopefully it is well written in addition to being accurate. I did change some things for the sake of making it a better read for the audience. For example, in Gadgetzan when Kyden met with Pyrak, you used an undead alt to act as a translator for Kyden over a hearth stone. Since the alt wasn't important to the overall story, and because I assumed you used her just to get around the game mechanics of not having a translator, I removed her from the story and placed Kyden there with Pyrak in Gadgetzan. I like it better that way because it focuses on what's important, the dialogue between Kyden and Pyrak, instead of introducing a new character that isn't seen again by the readers.

I think the events are fuzzy to just about everyone though Ehlina. It has been about 2 and a half years but it's still great hearing reminiscing. I'm glad that the memories were good ones.

Wow, thanks for the inclusion. I'll have to sit down and read this soon. I wasn't aware I was around for a lot of the storylines at that point. :O

My pleasure, Aislinana. In the end though, the credit really goes to Ehlina. She was the one who included your name. I've RPed with you before though and I would have been happy if we had gotten you involved more.

And sorry about spelling your name wrong. I can fix that in a 2nd version.

Hope everyone had a good holiday and doesn't mind if I do a little bump. :)

I downloaded this the other day even though it happened well before my time on the server. Havn`t had a chance to finish reading it, but I certainly am looking forward to it!

Thanks, it's good to know that others are taking an interest in it. People that I've heard from through in game mail have been happy with how it turned out. But I also like hearing from people who weren't involved in the RP. I wanted everyone to be able to read this story, including players like you. I hope you enjoy it. :)

I can't right now, (migraines limit how much I can read in a day) but I'm really glad you preserved some of these stories. We hare an extraordinarily rich history on this server.

Good job.

If there is any interest in reading about RP that happened a while ago, I am making this story written by multiple players available here again. Google has offered a better option for uploading the story since I originally posted it. The original URL I uploaded became invalid after only about a month after I posted it, but I should have more control over this URL now since it is linked to the email people can use to contact me. That email is provided inside the story.

Hope you are all doing well and having many fantastic adventures!
