I can't recall the last time we had a 12 hour maintenance without a significant content patch.

I've followed the whole realm merge and relocation thing pretty closely.
They are down to only 17 realms left between NY and PHX.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we are going to log in tomorrow and find ourselves in LA.
I suggest emptying out your mail boxes and cancelling any auctions you may have for high-value items, just in case. Realm relocations usually go smoothly, but when they do go bad it can be really bad.

Edit: I just read over their projected merges on the home site. Where are you getting this 12 hour maintenance on 7/22? I didn't see any warning of it.

Edit-Edit: Wait! I just now saw the warning on my desktop app. :P
It says from 12am to 8am. That's only 8 hours. Not 12.

Sigh... Wait...

Now I see it. Reading is haaard.

The warning in the "Breaking News" panel does say 12 hours, 1am to 1pm... but the tooltip of the little icon in the upper right corner of the app (looks like a monitor with a lighting bolt inside) says only 8 hours.

Deliberately confusing Blizzard, com'on!

The times given in the upper right of the app are for battle.net.

Indeed. Sorry for the confusion, Dahca. The Breaking news that you see in the center of the app when selecting a particular game is for that game. The Breaking News for Battle.net and other services will be seen in the upper right corner of the app.

Likely to do with the new addition to Hearthstone releasing tomorrow (today, in my case).

We are extending today's maintenance for an additional 2 hours and we expect realms to be brought back online at approximately 5:00 P.M. PDT
