The Anytime, Anywhere Messenger Service is once again pleased to announce our annual Armistice Day Ball!

First held nine years ago, the Armistice Day Ball commemorates the spirit of cooperation between the Horde and the Alliance when, faced with a greater threat, they came together to jointly defend our realm at the Battle of Mt. Hyjal.

All persons are welcome to attend our celebration and participate in a night of dancing, socialization, and the honoring of those who came before us. Dress code is formal, and we ask that you leave all conflict at the door.

When: Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7pm
Location: Seradane (Emerald Dream portal in Hinterlands)
Transportation will be provided for those who need assistance.

Cordially,
Derscha Kettlebomb,
CEO

OOC:
The Armistice Day Ball is one of Cenarion Circle's long standing traditions, and a signature event for the AAMS. It is a cross-faction event that everyone can attend. We've moved it up a little bit earlier in October than normal in hopes of avoiding hitting the 6.0 launch this year.

We usually have a welcoming speech, some food, then some free time for mingling; AAMS translators will be present for those who need the help! We are also planning fireworks.

We do ask that no one attends flagged for PvP. The AAMS hosts peaceful events and it's very easy to misclick someone by mistake. (We look forward to that being fixed soon.)

I hope to see you all there!

Tyvian Reignheart lounged in his hidden library behind the walls of the Slaughtered Lamb, and perused the leaftlet he had found outside.

"A ball, how...exciting for once."

((I Can't wait, these are always so awesome.))

Mormel squeed upon seeing the AAMS leaflet pop up around town. She had already heard about this super awesome ball but finally having a set date made it a reality rather than a mere fantasy. There was no time to waste as Mormel begun planning what sort of smexy outfit she would wear. The very foundation of the universe depended on her being the prettiest gal at the event and crowned the prom queen of Azeroth, Outlands, and the Twisting Nether.

Naturally Mormel's amazing good looks made it impossible for her to lose but she still needed to win with style! Clearly something that showed a lot of skin and came with a lot of bling was called for!

((I'll mark my calendar! :D ))

Whether it was Yuuko or one of the new servants who included a copy of the posting in his daily briefing he did not know, but when Trenetir's eyes fell upon it, he felt a wisp of nostalgia threaten to overtake him. With a swift motion the notice was crumpled and tossed to the embers in the hearth. The parchment was no match for the fuel craved embers that fought to stay lit in the study.

There was no time for balls. Only business.

Brae frowned at the draft, crumpled it up, and tossed it in the basket of previous attempts. What in the name of the loa had she been thinking to tell Derscha she'd handle this year's speech? The mage sighed and turned the contents of the basket into cinders with a quick flick of her wrist. Onward and upward, she supposed. Biting her lip, she reached for quill and ink pot and a clean sheet of parchment.

There hadn't even been time yet to start that new uniform she'd been wanting to sew up....

((gentle bump! Hope everyone is searching for just the right outfit to have a fabulous evening in!))

A paper gently glided around the outside of Ironforge in the gentle breeze, catching the attention of a small rotting dog. Precious chased after it, trying to catch the paper in her steel jaws as it dodged her attempts in the wind. Finally with a lung followed by a 'graceful' land involving rolling on the snow covered road and stopping in a snow pile on the bank. Jataa chuckled softly, as she walked slowly to help Precious out of the snow. Precious wagged her tail as she held her prize tightly in her mouth, as Jataa pulled her from the snow pile. "What do you have there Precious? May I see?" Precious let the paper go into Jataa's hand, barking proudly as her prize. Jataa reads the paper, with a smile "A ball, what a nice change. Perhaps Caytamar would like to go. What do you think Precious, would you like to go too?" Precious barked, running in a circle before stopping and wagging her tail. Jataa chuckled a bit more, before turning back towards Ironforge. "We will have to find you a bow then." She says as she begins the walk back up to the gates, Precious running behind her.

A reminder that this will be next week, replacing the usual Lounge Night.

Our location is the ruins in Seradane! Come prepared for fireworks!

We also have a fun surprise for the first people who show up, so bring a couple of empty bag spaces :)

The AAMS' dormitory was the most comfortable place to stay, but Kezrin felt safer there than going back to her home. She didn't have any desire to be out in the public, not after her picture had appeared in that magazine, and she felt even less inclined to be at her own house after glimpsing the photo Mormel had shown her. So she laid in one of the cots after her shift, staring at the ceiling.

Thump, thump.

"Eh?" She lifted her head, staring at the wall. It continued to do an admirable job of being a wall and preventing her from seeing the source of the thumps. Curious, she left the dorms and poked her head into the next room over, a storage closet.

Olu was casually setting down several large crates. She waved at Kezrin.

"What's all that?" asked the goblin.

"Supplies for the ball. Miss Kettlebomb ordered some surprises for all of our guests." The tauren chuckled.

"Uh... don't those labels read, 'Dangerous, Risk of Explosion'?"

Olu peered closer at one of the crates. "So they do! Best not store them next to the fireworks, then." She picked up a crate labeled 'fireworks' and put them on the far side of the storage closet from the prize crates.

Kezrin stepped back into the hall.

She looked at the dorms.

She watched Olu stack a few more 'explosive' crates into the adjacent store room.

Perhaps she'd find another place to hide.

((Gentle bump for the ball this weekend!))

Kel sighed, staring balefully at the notice on her desk. The fact that she'd yet to make it to ANY of the things irked her something fierce, and the doubtless fact that the presence of a number of intriguing characters made it even more of a thorn in her side.

But she couldn't go.

The paladin and noble bit her lip and chewed thoughtfully, tugging the color from her flesh with white teeth. A grunt broke through her concentration as a child careened around the threshold of her study to connect solidly with the back of her leg. Another, nearly identical, impact almost knocked her over.

With two toddles clinging to her calves, the tall Blood Elf pretended to gasp in surprise, feigning unawareness of her assaulters as she dramatically slid to her knees.

"Nooo!"

"Yess!" returned the gleeful squeals of her twin children, Kier'Ali and Alysara.

Some things, she decided, were better than dances.
