Words or phrases you might expect a gnome to use ICly when cursing, swearing, belittling, and otherwise just being foul mouthed.

In common please.
For my gnomie-homies feel free to offer a 'common to gnomish' or 'gnomish to common' translation if you'd like.
Use symbols, alliterations and euphemisms where appropriate.

For example:

Spinning Sprockets!
-An exclamation of surprise similar to "holy cow!", but could also be used to denote exacerbation.

The groaned whilst rolling his eyes at the horrible example provided. "Ohh, spinning sprockets."

I shout "gnome biscuits"... but that is a goblin curse that has gnome in it.

In fact... let's talk about goblin curses instead.

A fine addition. Thank you for your input, but as you can see by the thread title we're talking strictly swearing in gnome and the perception of them swearing.

I've used the following over my gnomish career:

"Rusty cogs!"
-As in, "Rusty cogs, Derscha, what are you doing here?"

"That's trogg piddle."
-Does this need explanation?

"His engine's short on oil."
-In reference to someone who wasn't quite right in the head.

"About as reliable as a screwed-in nail."

I'm not much of a foul mouthed person myself, so I usually just end up cheating by saying "and then they muttered a few choice gnomish epithets" or something similar. /wink.

A phrase Rakeri has often used is "Gears of Gnomeregan", as a term of exasperation, surprise, horror, etc. (akin to "Akarat's bane", "Mother of God", "blood of <whoever>", so on).

*stares at thread in disbelief*

*shakes her head, backing up slowly*

*turns and flees*

Stupid lawn ornaments. They should be seen standing next to pink flamingos and not heard swearing. >_>
