Hello there!

Our guild is looking at a server transfer off of our current server Thunderlord. We've been surveying potential new homes, and this server is on our shortlist!

So I just wanted to stop by and say hello.

<Mew Mew Pew Pew> is a friendly guild that is pretty laid back that loves to raid. Our small dedicated raiding team is pretty tight knit these days, with many of us having raided together since back in the early days of Wrath, with some of our players having played since WoW's original release back in 2004!

We're a pretty casual guild overall, and our members are of varying skill levels and interests, but united in our love of the game and our characters.

While our primary focus historically has been raiding, it has never been a requirement for guild membership. Our only real "rule" is don't be a (*&#@%(&*. Oh, and 18+ (gchat is rated R, adult themes).

This expansion, I'm hoping to get a pvp presence within the guild as well for arenas and rated battlegrounds, and we'll need someone to lead that charge (we may or may not have someone to fulfill that role as there are a couple of people within our guild undecided on the transfer, if they come, they will be our pvp officers, if not, we'll need to find someone).

We are a fairly successful group of raiders. We generally do a pretty good job of clearing raid tiers, though we haven't touched hard modes (now mythic) since Cata. We went 14/14 Heroic (Old Normal, NOT Mythic) in Siege, getting our spiffy Ahead of the Curve achievement and mount back in April. Obviously not as fast as many guilds, but we really felt like we earned it, and we were very proud when we felled Hellscream.

We raid 2 nights a week. Our raid schedule has historically been Thursday/Sunday evenings, from 7PM Central to about 9:30PM or so (Basically 2 hours each night with some fudge room as we take a short break after the first hour, and we sometimes run over by an attempt for 3 when working on a new boss).

Our core membership is active at varying times, and we have some serious night owls (oddly sometimes you can find more of us online at 3AM than you can at 9PM).

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce ourselves. We're looking at transferring some time around the first week of December and hit the ground running. We may need to do some recruiting to fill a couple of spots depending on exactly who transfers, but most of us are coming in and bringing a lot of alts.

We could always use more gnomes. :D Seriously, though, a hopefully "welcome to the server(s)" for you guys. (And reading your post on SoE, I don't know what to call us after the merge either, heh heh.)

Outta curiosity, what brings you our way? Checking out the RP scene too?

I'm an old RP nerd, and it's been a hefty criticism of mine of MMOs for years, there's not enough RP elements (and those that do exist are disappearing). We were initially looking at PvE servers, and I'd had a mix of welcoming and helpful people and extremely rude people when I would pop onto servers to ask people questions.

One of our guildies mentioned RP servers and that generally the community on those srevers was more toward the helpful and welcoming side so I popped onto Sisters of Elune (wife likes the name) and the people I talked to were pretty spiffy.

Guild liked the name of the server, that it wasn't a PvP server, and many like the idea of RP being available (as I'm not the only RP nerd in the guild).

We haven't done much in the way of RP in the past, though we occasionally do break out with some silliness here and there. If/when we do move, it will be nice to be able to scratch that itch.

Yeah, I've not exactly had great experiences with PvE servers either; I think it was about three years or so ago, early in Cata, that I decided to take my plethora of characters from the "fan fiction" stage to actual RP servers, and I've never looked back. Probably made better raid progress on this server than I did on any of my PvE ones, heh.

I've never been much into raiding myself though I have dabbled here and there since '04. Right around the end of Mists I began to pay attention and discovered that there is a pretty solid group of RPer's that also raid (among other things of course) so I'm certain you'd be in good company. Perhaps a raider or two could pop in and add more detail than I can give.

In short, you'd be very welcome! :)

On the RP side it would be great to get more potential RPers active in server (even if its just casual encounters and what not). And as Rakeri said "We could always you MORE GNOMES." :D

Which ever you choose (SoE or CC) I hope to see you and the Mew Mew Pew Pew around! Great name btw :)

Welcome! I moved to Cenarion Circle a year ago from a very high population PvE server when my old guild died off. I can say that RP or not, it's the most welcoming server I've run into. Most folks here are very nice!

It's low population - but you knew that already most likely. That's the only drawback and I'm not sure 100% that it's a drawback. The only thing I miss is how full the auction house was on my old server by comparison. Other then that - CC/SoE is great. You can find "rare" mobs out in the world without them being dogpiled.

With respect to raiding there are a few active raiding guilds about. There were also groups of RPers from various guilds who banded together to form a couple of raid crews. I had the opportunity to raid with the "Flea-roys" for a bit during mists and it was a great experience! So, we've got a few different styles of raiders running about - but probably less than other servers would be my guess just due to the smaller overall population.

Sadly this is a problem with the genre as a whole and WoW in particular. While Blizzard has given us a great world to immerse ourselves in the degree to which we can customize it has always been limited. Ironically garrisons are one of the most customizable features ever put in and even that has heavy limitations compared to some other games. In the end we really only have the power to talk to one another (if from the same faction) and to use our imaginations.

True, but it's a start; SWTOR's Galactic Strongholds works on basically the same principle. It's the same for everybody design-wise, but you can customize it (to a degree) however you wish. I plan to take as best an advantage of it as I can. (Oh, and I do have a goblin in mine now, so you can stop your caterwauling. :P)

City of Heroes had customizable superhero bases (so you could make a Sci-Fi base, Asian themed base, Darkity-Warlock-Dark Magic base, etc). Unfortunately they didn't have much that you could actually *do* in the bases (storage, crafting, and some other stuff - but it was all accessible elsewhere). On top of that the code was buggy and broke any time they tried to touch it. They had planned on having PvP battles inside your base, but they couldn't find a way to make it compelling iirc (and the code broke every time they touched it...).

I like the garrisons and I like that it's become my "hub" city. I do wish I could change the look of things (ie more customizable banners and guards, or what-have-you), but overall I find myself wanting to tinker with it and pushing to get more resources to upgrade it- so thats a sign that it's working.

To be clear, are you asking to upgrade banners and guards in general, or just having more options? (Having dragon guards with Wyrmrest banners would be kind of fun, actually, heh. Or, obviously, mages and Kirin Tor...)

I like the human garrison guards and the dwarven vanguard riflemen but I would love to populate my garrison with more gnomes. A more common guard faction would be neat. Maybe swap the aesthetics of several building to appear more Dun Morogh (dwarven) or Tinkertown (gnome) despite their function. A dwarven themed stables for instance, or a gnome themed store house. Swapping the appearance of the surrounding walls would be neat too, or even just sections of them, so they appear more dwarven or gnomish.

Perhaps just some aesthetic race/guild banners would be nice. Something that could make your garrison pop as a little more unique. I didn't play LotRo much but I really liked their home and trophy system, so perhaps awarding us with a choice between certain trophy objects that we can then place around the garrison at our leisure would be nice.

All in toll I'm still really happy with the alliance theme. They've built in so many little details that really makes the space come alive. Even when there aren't any NPCs milling about, many areas still feel lived in as if someone might soon be returning.

//Edit:
Come to think of it, I've scanned through the greyed list of followers available in game and I don't recall seeing a gnome among them D: !

Millhouse Manastorm.

And with a level 3 barracks and exalted rep with Gnomeregan, you can have gnome guards. I'm working in that direction, heh heh.

I agree that I'd love more customization with garrisons. Heck I wanted to have completely racially themed garrisons even if it meant reusing all old assets.

Who in their right mind would hire a gno-er I mean well... you can get Manastorm like Rakeri pointed out. Also I'm pretty sure gnome followers can be recruited at an inn.

I was able to get my level 3 barracks last night and made the swap to goblin guards. While it is still cool it was not exactly what I was hoping for. The only banners that changed were the ones in front of the main hall and only about half the guards randomly change into goblins. Thus I still see plenty of orc grunts and troll axethrowers about.

Strangely the biggest change was the sudden influx of NPCs in the main hall. In order to change guards you have to talk to a specific race's recruitment officer. This could potentially be a problem for people wanting to use the area they are in for RP.... like the big, fat Panda now loitering around in my trophy room... pawing at my stuff <_<;

The banners on the outer walls and what not don't change?

Not in the Horde garrison at least. Only Bilgewater banners are two small ones flanking the entrance to the town hall. The rest are still the big red and black orc eye symbols of death.

Sorry, I didn't catch the question until now. I would say both :) I would love to have more guards wandering around and more differentiation that this outpost is MINE. I would love to have more options for guards- Aldor / Scryer guards, Wyrmrest guards, what-ever. Give the real sense that your character's accomplishments and achievements are appreciated by the other factions in the game. If I'm "exalted" with somebody I've helped em out a bunch. I'd kinda expect em to be first in line to provide a few soldiers, no?

Make sure you get a good inventory of the vault before you move... especially if the movers are goblins! :)

Nyah! Goblin movin' companies are super duper professional! If any gold, jewels, or other valuables are lost in transit it is due ta the error of lazy peons an' we are in no way liable.
