Hi, CC. So I am extremely rusty to the rp scene, I used to do it on Silver Hand back in WOTLK and I had some fun with it and thought I would get more into it. I have read a bunch of posts and am pretty sure I would like to move here because everyone seems nice and active and I've heard nothing but nice things. I like smaller servers so it seems like this would be a good fit and I just have one question, how do you guys feel about raids? I like to raid, and my old guild on Silver Hand would role play the raids as our group being a front line heroes that killed the bosses, with the exception of big names like Arthas, illidan. To keep IC we always just said Tirion or Maeve killed those guys and we helped get them there and soften them up. I only started playing a few moths ago on Burning Blade cause IRL friends said to so I switched. But they all quit playing and now I'm alone :(. So I thought I would server switch. I just wanted to know if there are raiding guilds that treat raids as RP or strictly OOC. Either one is fine but I would like to raid IC. And of course, find solid help to get me back in RP shape.

I'm afraid I don't personally know of any raid groups that treat raids as IC events... but there will be plenty of people willing to help you get back into RP! When you roll here, make sure to /join AllianceOOC and HearthstoneIC

AllianceOOC is exactly what it sounds like, lots of roleplayers all in one place, talking out of character. This is a great place to meet new friends and organize events or meetups!

HearthstoneIC is an in-character communication network, assuming the mechanic of having a rune of communication installed on one's hearthstone, allowing you to communicate with people over distances. This is a great tool if you are looking for something while in character ("Help! I fell in the river!" or "Does anyone know a good tailoring service? I need an outfit for a wedding", etc.)

Send me a tell in-game and I'll be happy to show you the ropes :)

Thanks Calent I totally will. Probably on a new low level character though. I kind of want to make this guy Alliance rather than horde, but I'm unsure because it might mess up my garrison. And sorry it's taken so long for me to reply back on here. I'm in summer school for college and past few weeks teachers have been whip cracking with the homework.

In case you do decide to roll a Horde toon, we'd love to have you in Doomguard! We're an RP/PvP/PvE guild with a very healthy population at the moment. You'll run into us everywhere Horde-side...and possibly Alliance-side in Stormwind. We're not currently doing raids like Hellfire Citadel, but we raid old content a few times a week. A few of our members used to be pretty hardcore raiders, so they know what they're doing. If there's enough interest, we could very well consider doing current raids. Everything is IC unless specifically noted, including a Siege of Orgrimmar run we're getting around to, like a blast to the past! Contact Vaqnegh, Bloodgrief, Auryla, or Clottia in-game if you're interested. :)

But yeah, if you come Horde-side, make sure to join HordeOOC! There's always people milling about who would give you the low-down on things. We have a few events that go on throughout the week, and we'd be happy to send you a calendar invite to help keep track of things. Like Calent said, we have a Hearthstone channel too. (Just Hearthstone, not HearthstoneIC.) She did a pretty good job at explaining how to use it.

I won't be hurt if you go Ally-side...Maybe I'll just stomp you in Stormwind. ;) Just kidding.
